Internet trolls Caitlyn Jenner after she criticizes Joe Biden for Transgender Day of Visibility coinciding with Easter

WASHINGTON DC: Caitlyn Jenner, recognized for her outspoken nature, recently criticized President Joe Biden for what she perceives as a deliberate attempt to blend a Christian holiday (Easter) with a day dedicated to celebrating transgender individuals.

74-year-old Olympic gold medalist Jenner is facing backlash on social media for criticizing President Joe Biden's declaration of Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter.

What did Caitlyn Jenner say?

For those who may not be aware, it's important to note that the coincidence of these two days occurring simultaneously this year is purely by chance.

While the Transgender Day of Visibility is observed annually on March 31st, the date of Easter varies from year to year.

However, Jenner hit at Biden on her X account as she wrote, “I am absolutely disgusted that Joe Biden has declared the most Holy of Holy days - a self-proclaimed devout Catholic - as Transgender Day of Visibility. The only thing you should be declaring on this day is ‘HE is Risen.'"

As per CNN, The Transgender Day of Visibility was started in 2009 as a day of awareness to celebrate the successes of transgender and gender-nonconforming people. 

Not only this, but House Speaker Mike Johnson said the Biden administration had “betrayed the central tenet of Easter” in a post on X. “The American people are taking note.”

Internet slams Caitlyn Jenner for her remarks 

Numerous social media users shared their thoughts, with many remarking on the irony of Jenner, who is transgender herself, criticizing the confluence of Transgender Day of Visibility with Easter.

A user on Instagram wrote, "Kaitlyn Jenner has no idea what day it is. Her team is just feeding her information to say without doing any research at all."

Another user wrote, "Friend, archive this post. Easter moved up due to the leap year, Joe ain't got nothing to do with this." 

A user said, "What the hell is wrong, Aren't you a transgender?!"

One more user said, "March 31st has been Trans Day of Visibility. The same day for 15 years. Yet is the Christian calendar that seems to move around from year to year. Stop finding drama where there isn't any just to gain a few seconds of publicity."  [sic]
