The 'Fantastic Four' star and Wallace went public with their relationship in October 2021, seven months after Gruffudd initiated divorce proceedings with Evans, with whom he shares two children. Throughout their journey, the couple has navigated the complexities of Gruffudd's challenging split from Evans.
Their relationship faced public scrutiny when, hours after Gruffudd, 50, and Wallace, 31, went public, Evans accused her ex-husband of a three-year-long affair with a former friend.
"So it turns out that my husband, after two years of telling me I'm a bad person... has been in a relationship for THREE years behind all our backs, Good luck, Bianca,” Evans claimed, expressing her sentiments on social media.
Ioan Gruffudd's divorce
The tumultuous divorce saga between actor Ioan Gruffudd and his ex-wife Alice Evans continues to unfold, marked by a series of accusations, legal actions, and emotional turmoil.
It all began when Evans, in a now-deleted tweet, revealed that Gruffudd had announced his decision to leave his family of 20 years, citing that he "no longer loves" her and leaving her and their daughters "confused and sad."
“Sad news. My beloved husband/soulmate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week,” she claimed.
“Me and our young daughters girls are very confused and sad. We haven’t been given a reason except that he ‘no longer loves me."
The public drama escalated as Evans accused Gruffudd's new partner, Bianca Wallace, of lacking empathy. In response, Gruffudd filed a restraining order against Evans in February 2022, alleging that she threatened to make false accusations, destroy his career, and even claim she would frame him as an abuser.
“Alice threatened to tell people I had abused her and our daughters,” the petition claimed. The documents filed by Gruffudd also alleged that Evans “threatened to call the police on me if I did not comply with her demands, threatened to tell people I am a drug addict and put me in prison, threatened to write a fake diary that reflected an abused victim, and to have the diary published and threatened to destroy my mother.”
The legal battle intensified as Gruffudd was granted a three-year restraining order against Evans, with allegations of threats to call the police, accusations of drug addiction, and plans to create a fake diary portraying him as an abuser.
Despite their legally divorced status in July 2023, Gruffudd and Evans have not settled, keeping the tension alive. Gruffudd's relationship with Wallace faced additional challenges when his eldest daughter filed a restraining order against him in June 2023, accusing him of abuse during a heated argument. However, the request was denied.
Amid the ongoing drama, Evans seemingly moved on, expressing that she is "so in love right now" in August 2023, though she chose to keep the details private, emphasizing the lessons life has taught her about caution.
