'It's my honor': Dwayne Johnson sings 'You're Welcome' from 'Moana' for 4-year-old in hospice care
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Not only is Dwayne Johnson repeating his role as shape-shifting demigod Maui in the upcoming sequel 'Moana 2', but he also recently revisited the voice for a very special little 'Moana' fan.
Johnson took to Instagram on Monday, July 1, to share a video in response to a pressing plea from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The 'Rock' then revealed that the beneficiary of the wish was Lily Guerrero, a four-year-old who is presently receiving home hospice care, as per PEOPLE Magazine.
Dwayne Johnson grants a four-year-old's wish by singing 'You're Welcome' from 'Moana'
The 52-year-old actor stated in the video that he received a "rush" wish from the Make-a-Wish Foundation to share a message to four-year-old Lily, who was presently receiving home hospice care.
Johnson said to the camera, "I received a request that I need to share with you guys. The sharing of this request is in the spirit of Make-A-Wish, which is a foundation that I hold near and dear to my heart. This is a special Make-A-Wish request and it’s called a rush wish."
"A 'rush' wish means what the implication sounds like, which is time is just not on our side when it comes to this particular wish," stated the actor.

Johnson went on to explain, "This rush wish is that Lily is on home hospice now and she watches Moana every day, all day, her dad said. Her wish is to have Dwayne Johnson sing 'You're Welcome' to her and have it recorded so she can listen to it over and over and over and over."
The former WWE star continued, saying he was told the young 'Moana' fan is "super excited about this," although she is dependent on a feeding tube.
Following a brief introduction to Lily, Johnson played the instrumental version of his popular song, 'You're Welcome', from the 2016 animated feature 'Moana', in which he voiced the character of Maui.
After revealing that he is sitting at a piano, the former wrestler said, "I actually stink at the piano," and chose to sing to the instrumental version of the song, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Addressing Lily directly after his performance, Johnson said, "Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege to make your Make-a-Wish come true, me singing 'You're Welcome' in a few keys I'm quite sure don't exist. I hope you enjoyed it. And, Lily, you're so special."
In his video caption, the 'Rock' reiterated this sentiment and asked viewers to give Lily "all the positive vibes and beautiful MANA she deserves and needs right now."
"Lily Guerrero, it’s my honor and this one is for you... I love you, and I want you to always know just how special you are," added the 'Black Adam' star.
Johnson will reprise his role as Maui in the highly anticipated 'Moana 2', teaming up with an older Moana, played by Auli'i Cravalho, to reunite her people "across the entire ocean." The movie is set to release in theaters on November 27, as per Entertainment Weekly.
