J-pop star Ayumi Hamasaki addresses rumors about being Elon Musk’s baby mama: 'Time for me to speak up'

WASHINGTON, DC: Japanese pop icon Ayumi Hamasaki has put a full stop to rumors suggesting that she shares a child with tech billionaire Elon Musk.
The 46-year-old songstress, famously known as “Empress of J-pop", was dragged into the spotlight after the Tesla CEO’s alleged baby mama, Ashley St Clair, revealed that he had a baby with an unnamed J-pop singer and was fully down to spreading his genes further.

“He made it seem like it was just his altruism, and he generally believed these people should just have children,” St Clair, whose son Romulus was fathered by the SpaceX boss, told the New York Times.
The Wall Street Journal also examined text conversations that Musk sent to St Clair in 2023 regarding a meeting he had with individuals he identified as Japanese officials, stating that they wanted him to donate sperm to a high-profile woman.

“They want me to be a sperm donor. No romance or anything, just sperm,” Musk texted St Clair, later telling her that he agreed to give his sperm to the unnamed woman.
Ayumi Hamasaki shuts down rumors she had a baby with Elon Musk
Ashley St Clair’s bombshell claims spread like a wildfire, with J-pop fans hopping onto the global guessing game, trying to figure out the identity of the former DOGE leader’s secret baby mama.
Shortly thereafter, fans zeroed in on Hamasaki, who has lived in the United States, has two American ex-husbands, and has sold an estimated 80 million records worldwide, making her the closest thing J-pop has to a global superstar.

Hamasaki is a mother of two sons, whose fathers have never been publicly identified, according to the Daily Mail.
But now, the J-pop icon has made it clear that she wants nothing to do with the Tesla CEO.
“I’ve been keeping an eye on this, and I guess it’s time for me to speak up. Elon Musk is not the father of either of my children,” Hamasaki wrote on her Instagram Story, per Tokyo Weekender.

“Setting aside my personal image, when my kids are old enough to start Googling things, I don’t want them to run into the rumors and think they’re true, so I’m firmly denying them,” she continued.
Hamasaki claimed to understand why people may believe it was her, even joking that her mother laughed at the rumors.
“I can understand the opinion that it sounds like me. Lol. My mother laughed at me and said, 'This news looks like Ayu-chan's story, doesn't it?'" Hamasaki continued.
“Well, if it was someone else, I’d probably say, "Isn't this AYU?" lol. But, different is different. Putting aside my own image, I'm going to deny it completely because I don't want my child to Google it someday. That's all,” she added.

Elon Musk wants a 'legion' of children
Elon Musk, who recently exited the White House and his Department of Government Efficiency, seems to be a man on a mission to save humanity.
Musk previously claimed that “civilization is going to crumble” if people do not have children, saying, “I do have a lot of kids, and I encourage others to have lots of kids.”

Earlier in April, a report by the Wall Street Journal stated that Musk has privately spoken about wanting to produce a “legion-level” number of children before the world ends.
Musk sees his growing family as a "legion," according to the WSJ, alluding to Roman military formations consisting of thousands of warriors.
“To reach legion-level before the apocalypse, we will need to use surrogates,” Musk allegedly texted St Clair while she was pregnant.

Musk's complex familial dynamics have long been in the news. His first six children were born to his first wife, Justine Wilson and include trans daughter Vivian Wilson, who has become his vocal critic.
He went on to have son X, who is now five years old, with Canadian artist Grimes, followed by two more children from an on-off relationship.
However, in July 2022, after the relationship with Grimes appeared to have ended, he had twins with Neuralink executive Shivon Zillis. He later had two more children with Zillis, the most recent born this year, shortly after his son with St Clair.
