LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jack Antonoff is becoming the unofficial face of Demi Moore’s fan club after the actress’ Oscar snub left them shocked.

The 62-year-old actress, who delivered a career-turning performance in her 2024 thriller 'The Substance', was seen as a favorite for the Best Actress award on Sunday after her triple wins at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice, and SAG Awards.

However, many Oscars viewers were left heartbroken when the 'Ghost' actress lost out on the top honor to 'Anora' actress Mikey Madison at the 97th Academy Awards held at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 2.

Antonoff, who was sitting just a row behind Moore, has since gone viral for his spontaneous reaction to her surprising Oscar snub.

Jack Antonoff, 40, accompanied by his wife and Demi Moore’s ‘The Substance’ co-star Margaret Qualley, was seated near the ‘Indecent Proposal’ actress during the ceremony. 

Moore, seated in the front row, was shining like a thousand diamonds in her fitted Giorgio Armani Prive crystal-embroidered gown as the Best Actress award was being announced.

As the camera focused on the nominees’ reaction during the announcement, it captured Moore’s reaction as she momentarily looked upset before gaining composure and seemingly mouthing the word “Nice,” as reported by Page Six. 

However, the camera also captured Antonoff’s reaction, seated diagonally across from Moore, as he made a surprised ‘O’ shape with his mouth before quickly turning to his wife, who was sitting beside him.

On the other hand, Moore, though initially dejected, took the Oscar snub sportingly, later taking to her Instagram to congratulate Madison, 25. She added, “Can’t wait to see what you do next ♥️.”

A source previously shared with Page Six that the actress “can’t help but feel heartbroken” after the loss as she “was really hopeful” after her Golden Globes win. 

The source added, “Demi is taking this loss very hard because she felt like this was finally her chance to take home an Academy Award.”

Nevertheless, they stated that Moore “is thrilled for Mikey and all the other women who were nominated for this award. “But of course,” they added, “it was a huge disappointment not hearing her name be called.”
