LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent 'Off Menu' podcast appearance, Jada Pinkett Smith admitted that she got "emotional" concerning a magic act that had been performed on her and her estranged husband, Will Smith, resulting in a deep connection between them.

The 52-year-old actress opened up candidly about her experience attending a performance by renowned illusionist David Blaine with her 'Men in Black' star husband.

The podcast admission follows just after Jada and Will got back together for a romantic dinner at the celebrity hot spot, Nobu Malibu, shortly after New Year's Eve.

Will and Jada have not shared much information about their marital status, but earlier this month, she told Daily Mail that her husband's startling Oscars slap preserved their marriage.

The former 'Set It Off' actor—who recently paid tribute to the family's late dog, Fang—talked about the occasion when renowned illusionist David Blaine moved her to tears during a private performance for the A-list couple.

On the 'Off Menu' podcast, Jada recalled how she got "super emotional" about a magic trick Blaine did, saying, "[Blaine] did something so crazy with Will and I. He touched Will's shoulder and I felt it but Will didn't."

The actress claimed that she felt a strong connection to her partner as a result of the encounter.

"I cried, it was emotional," Jada said, laughing, "Blaine was showing the connection between us and I haven't been able to get away from Will since showing that connection."

She joked, "Like, blame it on David, we are really connected."

The illusionist earlier shared his 2013 documentary 'David Blaine: Real or Magic' on Facebook for 'Throwback Thursday.' In the video, he asks his celebrity audience to join him in a few stunts with an ice pick and, some of his own body parts.

In the video, Blaine knifes his palm with a sharp weapon while not spilling a single drop of blood, leaving Will and Jada stunned and in shock. The magician reportedly spent 13 years piercing his skin to make up tissue for the ice pick act, which was "100 per cent science."

Both Will and his spouse Jada were astounded by the trick, and 'Breaking Bad' stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, also found it difficult to control their emotions during the preview, per Metro.

David Blaine's journey from street magician to human with tolerance

Illusionist David Blaine has revolutionized street magic throughout a career spanning more than 25 years. He has performed some of the most risky illusions in the history of magic, pushing his body to the brink of human tolerance and nearly losing his life in the process.

Blaine has gone to the edge of this world with some of his finest endurance feats, which include standing on a massive block of ice for over three days and burying himself alive for a week.

He claims that's where he feels most connected to his late mother, who died while he was a teenager, per SPYSCAPE.

Besides doing his acts in hospitals to boost morale, Blaine has also discreetly volunteered throughout his career.

In addition, he has earned money and made millions of donations by performing for causes close to his heart, such as the Salvation Army, which provided him with clothing when he was a young kid.

Although his career has often consisted of shocking people with risky acts, during the COVID-19 pandemic he aimed to comfort people and offer mild relief, especially to immediate responders and medical personnel.

Blaine has overexerted his physical capabilities. Both his street magic and endurance acts have delighted millions of people.

Furthermore, he has tailored his skills to a particular circumstance by becoming "on call" during the epidemic to offer patients and exhausted medical professionals some much-needed reprieve.
