LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actor Jamie Foxx denounced the devil and thanked his fans for their support after his recent altercation at a Beverly Hills restaurant that left him needing stitches, Fox News reported on Sunday, December 15.

The 57-year-old actor was having his birthday dinner at the famed establishment of Mr Chow on Friday when some customers at another table started a row with him. When Foxx asked them to stop as he was with his family, someone at the table threw a glass at him that hit him in the face.

A spokesperson for the actor later stated, "Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands."

Taking to the social media platform Instagram, the 'Creed' actor shared a post that read, "The devil is busy... but I'm too blessed to be stressed."

"The devil is a lie," he wrote in the caption. "Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it… the lights have been shining bright."

On December 10, the star released a Netflix special, where he opened up about the mysterious illness that left him hospitalized last year and with no memory of 20 days from April to May 2023.

Foxx stated that he suffered "a brain bleed that led to a stroke" at the time. While he did not remember much, he went into detail about what he did, how he found humor in his recovery, and the constant support of his family.
