Jamie Lee Curtis says her life has 'completely changed'
In an emotional Instagram post on February 3, Jamie Lee Curtis recalled her transformation, highlighting the support and friendships she has gained through sobriety.
She included a screenshot from an app tracking her progress and another image of the now-destroyed church where she once attended meetings.
The app tracker showed that she had been sober for 26 years or 312 months, the equivalent of 9,498 days and a total of 227,911 hours, according to Parade.
"26 years ago today I walked into my first recovery meeting. Since then, my life has completely changed," Curtis wrote in the Instagram post.
"I have made beautiful, beautiful friendships and it has expanded my life beyond recovery and it has given me the family life and creative life," Curtis continued.

Jamie Lee Curtis reflects on the loss of the church that helped her stay sober
The actress noted that this year’s anniversary was particularly meaningful due to the destruction of the Palisades-area church that once hosted her recovery meetings.
"The little avatar in the picture of the street is in the exact spot/seat I sat in at my weekly meeting in the Palisades in a church that no longer exists, in a neighborhood that no longer exists, but we don't drink or use no matter what and this is a big f****g no matter what," Curtis wrote.
The church was one of many structures lost in the recent wildfires that devastated parts of Los Angeles County last month.

In a previous Instagram post on January 8, Curtis shared her sorrow over the loss of the church, writing, "This is the church in the Palisades that had a beautiful Sunday school and school and was a gorgeous house of worship and is the building that I got sober in 25 years ago."
She concluded her February 3 post with a message of encouragement, "Be gentle with yourselves, ONE DAY AT A TIME! My hand in yours. JLC."
