LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Lee Curtis' black feathered gown at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, February 23, had fans questioning her sartorial choices and comparing it to the outfit of an iconic Disney villain.

People on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter) compared Curtis to the antagonist Yzma from Disney's 2000 movie 'The Emperor's New Groove'.

While Curtis' fashion game might be questionable, her performance in Pamela Anderson's 'The Last Showgirl' earned her a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, per The Mirror.

The 'Halloween' actress, 66, arrived on the red carpet at the SAG Awards wearing a sequin Dolce & Gabbana gown teamed with a dramatic feathered bolero, which the social media users likened to the iconic villain Yzma.

Instead of killing the main character, Emperor Kuzco (voiced by David Spade), the famous antagonist, played by the late Eartha Kitt, unintentionally transforms him into a llama.

The entire movie is devoted to Yzma and her goon Kronk's (voiced by Patrick Warburton) attempt to kill the emperor.

Many people compared Yzma's purple feathered shoulder style to Curtis' SAG red carpet outfit.

Curtis has had a storied career with her performance in 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' in 2023 earning her two Screen Actors Guild honors.

She received awards for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

The actress received a prior nomination for Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her performance in the 1995 movie 'True Lies'. However, she was defeated by Dianne Wiest's portrayal of Helen Sinclair in 'Bullets Over Broadway'.

Jamie Lee Curtis exudes real 'showgirl' flair while wearing feathers and sequins

The 'Freaky Friday' actress turned heads in a black gown with a dramatic feather top when she walked the red carpet at the SAG Awards 2025 in Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall on Sunday night.

The striking feathers framed her face and flowed down both arms to create long sleeves. Curtis added black and silver stud earrings by Cathy Waterman to keep the jewelry simple and allow the body-hugging gown to speak for itself.

Given that Curtis was nominated for an award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for 'The Last Showgirl', the unusual outfit appeared suitable for the event.

The celebrity portrays Annette, a former Las Vegas showgirl who now works as a cocktail waitress in the Gia Coppola-directed movie. In the Netflix pre-show, Curtis described the appearance as "giving showgirl," per People.

She chose to have a glowing complexion, long, fluttering lashes, and nude lips courtesy of makeup artist Grace Ahn.

Curtis posted a selfie on Instagram she took in the car before the event, writing, "I love my @lastshowgirl family! Birds of a feather……."
