Jamie Lee Curtis honors late sister Kelly in touching throwback photos: ‘My first friend’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Lee Curtis remembered her elder sister Kelly Curtis after her death.
Kelly was 69 when she died at her Bellevue home in Idaho on Saturday, May 30. However, her cause of death has not been revealed.

In her honor, Jamie shared never-before-seen photos of her and the late actress on Instagram.
The black and white pictures showed the two sisters posing together as the ‘Freaky Friday’ star shared the context behind them. In a lengthy caption, she wrote, “In 1984 on December 17, in the evening before my wedding, my sister, Kelly, who was my maid of honor, came to my apartment and slept over.”
“Our friend, Suzanne Tenner. @suz_tenner came and made a portrait of the sisters before I got married. She sent me this contact sheet today in condolence for the loss of my beautiful sister,” the 67-year-old producer stated.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Kelly fought 'for divorced parent's attention'
Jamie also revealed in her social media post that though she and Kelly were close as children, they “also had that sibling competition for divorced parent's attention and love.”
“We were wildly different and lived apart for many years, but she came back to be with me at my wedding and never really left again,” the children’s author noted.

Concluding her post, Jamie shared that Kelly became an essential part of her life as she “worked for me at one point when she was in between jobs as my as-sister-aunt.”
“I miss her today but am buoyed by the knowledge that she is at peace,” she added.
This came after the Oscar winner announced her sister’s death in another Instagram post.
Sharing a black and white photo of young Kelly, Jamie wrote, “A warm aloha to my older sister, Kelly Lee Curtis. She passed away this morning. In her home. In nature. At peace."
Jamie Lee Curtis calls Kelly her 'lifelong confidant'
Calling ‘The Devil's Daughter’ actress her “first friend and lifelong confidant,” she added that Kelly “was jaw droppingly beautiful, and a talented actress” who “loved her family, nature, music, thrifting, travel, Facebook, and Pokémon Go.”
The ‘Trading Places’ star also mentioned in her tribute that Kelly “will be remembered for her loving generosity, fierce opinions, endless curiosity, unique style,” as she ended her post writing, “Isten Veled to my sister of the sun and the moon, my Tai. I'll see you down the line.”
