WASHINGTON, DC: In March 2013, Jared Kushner extended an invitation to convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein to attend a high-profile party sharing the guest list with President Trump and Harvey Weinstein

This revelation comes from more than 20,000 emails belonging to Epstein that lawmakers released to the public on Wednesday, November 12.

Jared Kushner’s invitation to 2013 New York Observer event

According to the released emails, Jared Kushner, then the publisher of the New York Observer, personally invited Epstein to a 25th anniversary celebration of the paper.

The event, held on March 14, 2013, was billed as honoring New York City’s “best, brightest and most influential in culture, media and finance.”

The invitation, addressed to “Mr Jeffrey Epstein,” described the event as “quintessential New York night” and was signed by Kushner, in his role as Publisher, alongside Joseph Meyer, the Observer’s CEO.

The guest list for the evening was star-studded. It included Jared’s father-in-law, Trump, and his daughter, Ivanka Trump.

He also invited Harvey Weinstein, who is now serving a prison sentence for his crimes and his then-wife, Georgina Chapman.

Other notable names on the list were former NBC News host Matt Lauer, Sen Cory Booker, journalist Katie Couric, actors Katie Holmes and Blake Lively, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, former New York Observer editor in chief Ken Kurson, and former NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly.

Jeffrey Epstein’s media connections

Epstein maintained close connections with several influential figures in media and related industries.

He corresponded with insiders such as real estate tycoon Mortimer B Zuckerman, who owned The New York Daily News at the time.

Together with journalist Michael Wolff, Zuckerman and Epstein attempted to buy New York Magazine in 2003, according to The New York Times, and they tried again the next year to acquire Radar Magazine.

Following Epstein’s arrest in 2019, Trump told reporters, “I had a falling-out with him a long time ago. I haven’t spoken to him in fifteen years. I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you.”

Several names on the guest list have either been associated with Epstein or appeared in photos of his alleged contact book.

Although Epstein was clearly invited, the email chain does not definitively confirm that he actually attended the event.

Trump has given the responsibility to Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s connections with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman and others.
