Ivanka Trump hails dad Donald’s 'leadership' and praises husband Jared Kushner after Gaza deal

Ivanka Trump also acknowledged Steve Witkoff for helping make the peace plan possible

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, expressed pride in both her father and her husband, Jared Kushner, after the first phase of the Gaza peace deal was announced.

She shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), “I want to thank my father @realDonaldTrump for his unbending leadership.” In the same post, she praised her husband, adding, “Deeply proud of my husband.”

This came shortly after her father and husband played key roles in the peace agreement between Israel and Hamas aimed at ending the war in Gaza.

As Israel and Hamas finalized the Gaza peace deal, Ivanka Trump expressed her gratitude to her father, President Donald Trump, for his “unbending leadership.” She said his guidance brought hope for lasting peace to a region long marked by “pain and heartbreak.”

She also praised her husband, Jared Kushner, and US envoy Steve Witkoff. She highlighted their vision and dedication in helping make the agreement possible.

In her post on X, she wrote, "I want to thank my father @realDonaldTrump for his unbending leadership in bringing real hope for lasting peace to a region that has known so much pain and heartbreak. Deeply proud of my husband @jaredkushner and Steve Witkoff, whose vision and perseverance remind us that even in the darkest moments, progress is possible."

Ivanka, who converted to Judaism to marry Kushner, added, “Their tireless work has given new hope to families who dream of safety, dignity, and opportunity.”

She concluded with a note of cautious optimism, writing, “I won’t fully celebrate until every hostage has been returned and peace prevails. But I hold on to hope that one day we will dance again, and maybe even dance together.”

Donald Trump on peace deal progress

Speaking during a cabinet meeting on Thursday, October 9, President Donald Trump announced that the agreement between Israel and Hamas had “ended the war in Gaza” and would pave the way for broader Middle East peace.

The “first phase” of Trump's peace plan was done end the war in Gaza.

“Getting them is a complicated process. I'd rather not tell you what they have to do to get them. There are places you don't want to be, but we are getting the hostages back on Monday or Tuesday, and that'll be a day of joy,” Trump told his cabinet members at the White House.

Taking on Truth Social, he said, "I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan. This means that ALL of the hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw [its] troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a strong, durable and everlasting Peace.”



 

Trump revealed that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi had invited him to join a celebration in Egypt marking the first phase of the ceasefire deal. He added that he also expects to visit Israel, noting, “They asked me to speak at the Knesset, and I’ve agreed to - if they would like me to, I will do it.”
