WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Jasmine Crockett, a rising Democratic star known for her fiery rhetoric against Donald Trump, is now facing a barrage of internal accusations about her alleged mistreatment of congressional staff and a lack of commitment to legislative duties.

While the Texas lawmaker has built a viral persona through headline-grabbing committee clashes and public speeches, insiders claim she is rarely present for the behind-the-scenes work of governing and often berates her aides.

Three individuals who have worked with Crockett described her office as a “toxic” environment, claiming she is disengaged, erratic, and more interested in building her brand than serving her district.

Former aides accuse Jasmine Crockett of verbal abuse

While Jasmine Crockett commands headlines for her confrontations with Republicans, those who’ve worked for her paint a different picture behind the scenes.

“She is laying around her apartment, won’t come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them,” a former aide said. “She is never in the office and is very disengaged. She does her bulls**t that goes viral, and then freaks out over the most random things.”

Another insider said, “It is widely known that she’s not nice to staff and is just not a really dedicated member focused on constituents.”

A third source said, “She is focused almost exclusively on being an influencer, not a member of Congress… all diva, no wow,” per NY Post.

Former aides also allege Crockett cycles through communications staff frequently because she insists she doesn’t need help managing press: “She thinks she’s her own best adviser.”

One aide recalled being reduced to tears after being yelled at by Crockett, who said: “Do you really want to be here? And if not, you can leave!”

Staffers describe Crockett’s daily operations as unnecessarily lavish and domineering. She reportedly refuses to use a staffer’s personal car, instead demanding a weekly rental of a luxury SUV, such as an Escalade, to be driven short distances between her apartment and the Capitol.

“She expects her staff to drive her around while she’s in the back seat,” one insider said. “The staffer is expected to stand outside the vehicle… and open the door for her.”

Another added, “You’re technically allowed to do this but it’s wildly inefficient… a power play akin to treating the staffer like an Uber driver.”

Crockett gained national attention in May 2024 after a fiery clash with Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga), during which she insulted Greene’s appearance using the phrase “bleach blonde bad built butch body.” While she fundraised off the moment, some of her gay staffers reportedly found the remark offensive.

“She told her gay staff members, ‘That’s not offensive. You’re stupid if you think so,’” said one former aide. “It was kind of like how Trump says, ‘The gays love me.’”

Despite internal backlash, Crockett went on to speak at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, where she labeled Trump a “vindictive, vile villain.”

Jasmine Crockett ramps up attacks, calls Donald Trump ‘Temu Hitler’

Jasmine Crockett has reignited her feud with President Donald Trump, comparing him to Adolf Hitler during a recent SiriusXM interview, dubbing him “Temu Hitler” while blasting the administration’s redistricting efforts in Texas. She accused Trump’s allies of “diluting the voices of people of color” through gerrymandering and said the GOP’s strategy amounts to a “White supremacy agenda.”

“They have decided that the only way that they can bring about this White supremacy agenda is by diluting the voices of people of color,” Crockett said.

“And so what we have seen is, again, this rogue Department of Justice going out to do the bidding of this Temu Hitler.”

She continued, “To the extent that he says, listen, the only way that I can ensure that I will have no checks on me is if I can ensure that those voices of color do not have representation.”

This follows Crockett’s earlier remarks during a rally in Phoenix, Arizona, on August 3, where she called Trump a “piece of s**t.” She also repeated the "Temu Hitler" comparison during a public rally in Chicago: “They understand that we have a Temu Hitler in the White House right now that thinks that he is going to become the dictator of the United States."

Allegations spark fierce backlash against Jasmine Crockett

The allegations against Rep Jasmine Crockett have sparked a wave of strong reactions online, with many users expressing both outrage and disbelief over the claims.

“Every Democrat female Rep, Senator, Vice President, etc seems to have staff horror stories, and they’re all the same,” one user wrote. “They’re selfish, abusive and completely sociopathic.”

Another added, “No worries, she’ll disappear as soon as her district does.”

A separate user called for action, writing, “Jasmine Crockett needs to be investigated.”

Echoing similar sentiments, one commenter posted, “Out of everyone in Congress, I absolutely believe every allegation against her to be true. You can’t tell me that that is not exactly her personality!”

Some didn’t hold back in their criticism. “Empty drums make a lot of noise…” one user said, while another claimed, “Jasmine Crockett is just ghetto & belongs to the streets.”

The backlash highlights the polarizing nature of Crockett’s public image, as supporters applaud her outspoken style while critics accuse her of prioritizing social media fame over public service.

In May, Rep Lisa McClain (R-Mich) accused Crockett of cutting in front of handicapped passengers to board a flight, an incident staffers say was consistent with her behavior.

“Her cutting in line in front of a handicapped person is really indicative of the type of person she is,” said a former colleague. “She is interpersonally very rude and doesn’t get along well with people.”

In an Atlantic profile, Crockett reportedly yelled at a staffer over a schedule issue and rejected a meal with “This looks like crap.” She later tried to backtrack her participation in the article when the reporter contacted other lawmakers, few of whom offered praise.
