Jasmine Crockett accuses Trump of targeting women after Pam Bondi's exit: 'America needs a do over'
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Jasmine Crockett has sharply criticized President Donald Trump following the removal of Attorney General Pam Bondi, arguing that her exit reflects a pattern in how women are treated within the administration.
Speaking out after the leadership shake-up, Crockett did not hold back, linking Bondi’s departure to the earlier exit of Kristi Noem and suggesting a trend she believes is hard to ignore.
Her comments come at a time when the administration is already facing questions over internal tensions and recent high-profile departures.
Well… first it was Kristi Noem, now it’s Pam Bondi… it would be too much like right that Pete be next. I see a theme. He will throw the incompetent women under the bus a lot faster than the incompetent men 🤷🏾♀️.

Let’s just agree that America needs a “do over.” The President…
Jasmine Crockett points to a pattern after Pam Bondi's exit
Crockett directly connected Bondi’s removal to Kristi Noem’s earlier departure, framing both as part of a larger issue.
“Well… first it was Kristi Noem, now it’s Pam Bondi… it would be too much like right that Pete be next. I see a theme,” she said.
She went further, accusing Trump of treating women in his administration differently from men.
“He will throw the incompetent women under the bus a lot faster than the incompetent men,” Crockett added.
Pam Bondi’s removal follows reported White House frustration
Bondi was removed from her role on Thursday, April 2, following what sources described as growing frustration within the White House over her leadership.
According to those familiar with the situation, Trump had become “more and more frustrated” in recent days, despite personally liking Bondi.
There were also reports of a heated exchange between Trump and Bondi at the White House shortly before the decision was made, though details of that interaction were not disclosed.
Trump later confirmed the leadership change, stating that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche would step in as acting attorney general.
“Our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General,” Trump said.
Blanche also responded publicly, offering a more supportive tone toward Bondi.
“Pam Bondi led this Department with strength and conviction and I’m grateful for her leadership and friendship,” he wrote.
Kristi Noem’s earlier exit adds to the narrative
Crockett’s comments also drew on the recent departure of Kristi Noem, who stepped down as Secretary of Homeland Security after just over a year in the role.
Trump had announced that Noem would transition into a newly created position focused on regional security efforts, while Senator Markwayne Mullin was tapped to take over the department pending confirmation.
Noem’s tenure had included a focus on immigration enforcement, though she also faced criticism in congressional hearings in recent weeks.
Jasmine Crockett calls for ‘do over’ as criticism intensifies
Beyond pointing out what she sees as unequal treatment, Crockett used the moment to call for a political reset.
“Let’s just agree that America needs a ‘do over,’” she said.
She also criticized the system that led to these appointments, arguing that both the nominations and confirmations played a role in the current situation.
“The president nominated these awful people, the Republican controlled Senate confirmed them, and well… too many people thought we should give this much power,” Crockett said.
“We need a do over… but only if America would do better,” she added.
