LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Whitlock has shared his thoughts on the apparent feud between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

The columnist reportedly believes that Reese’s alleged hostility toward the Indiana Fever’s player won’t favor her.

During the Monday, June 10, episode of ‘Fearless with Jason Whitlock’, he said, “Angel Reese is a laughingstock, and she didn't have to be a laughingstock.”

“She's chosen a fight with Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever fans...she's become a meme,” Whitlock added.

Jason Whitlock calls Angel Reese ‘a joke’

The veteran journalist also noted that the basketball player for the Chicago Sky is earning well, “but her lack of skill on the basketball court – gets four points in a game against the Indiana Fever, they got beat by 30 by the Indiana Fever. Caitlin Clark didn’t even play.”

The 58-year-old further suggested that Reese should focus on her game as she has become “a laughing stock and a joke," as per First Sportz.

“I would raise the white flag as it relates to Caitlin Clark. I would try to become her BFF or friendly rival and show some respect and affinity towards Caitlin Clark as long as she goes down this path and people are comparing her to Caitlin Clark, they’re going to laugh at her comical basketball skills,” he mentioned, before asserting, “Angel Reese has made a horrendous mistake as it relates to her reputation.”

Whitlock’s comment came after an on-field altercation between the two athletes in May.

At the time, former NFL star Robert Griffin III had commented, “After watching Caitlin Clark’s flagrant foul on Angel Reese and the aftermath, there is no way Angel Reese can continue the lie that she doesn’t dislike Caitlin Clark.”

“I know what hatred looks like. Angel Reese HATES Caitlin Clark. Not some basketball rivalry hate either. Hate,” he claimed.

However, Reese and Clark have both denied the feud between them.

Even after the May incident, Clark said, “Let's not make it something that it's not. It was just a good play on the basketball. I'm not sure what the ref saw to upgrade it, and that's up to their discretion.”

“It's a take foul to put them at the free-throw line. I've watched a lot of basketball in my life, that's exactly what it was. I wasn't trying to do anything malicious. That's not the type of player I am,” the 23-year-old added.

Meanwhile, people have shared their thoughts on the feud after Jason Whitlock’s statement.

An X user tweeted, “Hate never wins. Move to the light Angel, leave the burden of the dark.”

Another X user wrote, “The wnba enables the behavior exhibited by Reese.”

“She’s just a terrible person. Maybe she can change…” the third one shared.

An individual posted, “Agree ... Her mistake is 'listening' to her so-called followers ... She is taking BAD advice from trolls ... She could turn this all around, but is it too late for @Reese10Angel.”

Another remarked, “To be fair she would be completely unknown if it wasn't for her hatred of CC.”

“Angel Reese is a laughing stock because she is a terrible basketball player. When you have a new statistic created because many of your rebounds are from your own missed shots and put backs under the rim, you are a laughing stock,” one individual wrote.
