Jenna Dewan fires back at Channing Tatum as she demands new trial for 'Magic Mike' empire settlement
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jenna Dewan has reportedly blasted his ex-husband Channing Tatum after being accused of dragging their divorce battle.
The former couple tied the knot in 2009 but got separated almost a decade after the marriage.
They are parents to a 10-year-old daughter named Everly while Dewan has one more child named Callum, three, with fiance Steve Kazee.
Channing Tatum alleged that Dewan repeatedly denied multiple divorce settlement plans involving the split of their property, especially profits from the ‘Magic Mike’ empire over the year, which delayed their divorce, RadarOnline.com reported.
Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum blame each other for delaying court process
The actress’ attorney said, “Jenna contends that Channing, with the participation and assistance of his business manager and other associates has created a complex web of LLCs, holding companies, and partnerships, all of which are calculated to dilute and conceal the value of, and licensing income therefrom, the community property share of Magic Mike intellectual property and derivative assets.”
She has earlier sought two separate trials — one solely for the ‘Magic Mike’ finances and the other for the rest of the matter. However, she has now agreed to a single trial but wants the hearing of 'Magic Mike' first.
Tatum has refuted any allegations of fraud, reportedly stating, “[Dewan’s] allegations in her [motion] are false, unfounded and unsubstantiated by information and documents already in her possession, as further detailed below.”
“I believe Petitioner is making these allegations as a delay tactic and to seek a windfall from me, ignoring my post-separation efforts to enhance the Magic Mike intellectual property and related businesses,” the 44-year-old added.
Jenna Dewan's lawyer calls for clarity on 'Magic Mike' ownership
However, the dancer’s lawyer claimed, “Jenna is seeking trial management orders because the ownership of the story idea that comprises the Magic Mike Intellectual Property is the first question that must be answered before any of the other issues can be fairly litigated.”
“In fact, but for Channing’s refusal to stipulate that the Magic Mike Intellectual Property currently held in two separate Property Holding Companies is equally divisible community property, this issue would not have to be tried first, or ever,” they noted.

The lawyer added, “Given [Tatum's] professed goal of expediting the trial in this case, [Dewan] renews her request that [Tatum] simply stipulate that the Magic Mike Intellectual Property being held in the two holding companies is equally divisible community property.”
