LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jenna Ortega's sister, Aliyah Ortega, is set to defend her amid public scrutiny of her physical appearance. Aliyah shared a comment addressing her sister’s appearance and comments from her recent interview.

A fan shared a post about Jenna, saying that people should not bother her amid the scrutiny she has been receiving over her recent photoshoots. The supporting post read, “She doesn’t owe anyone an explanation. Her life is her life, and her body belongs to her,” and Jenna’s sister agreed.

Jenna Ortega’s sister reacts to growing discourse over her appearance

Aliyah Ortega commented with an exclamation, agreeing, and then shared a lengthy comment. "Yes, it’s completely okay to be concerned when you see certain things, but assuming or making accusations without knowing the full story is a different matter," she commented.

"If anyone truly loves and cares about her, they should be able to say, “Thank you for all the amazing projects you’ve brought us this year, but we also want you to take a month or even two months off to rest, recharge, and focus on yourself,” she added.

She shared that the audience should appreciate the actress and not bash her. "We appreciate everything she has done and continues to give to her fans, but sometimes the best way to show love and support is to remind someone that it’s okay to slow down, take a break, and prioritize themselves. Thank you for everything you’ve given us. We appreciate you more than you know," she concluded.

Her comment came after a fan shared a lengthy post defending the 23-year-old actress. The fan wrote, "She has every right to make whatever decisions she feels are best for herself without being judged, discriminated against, or subjected to unnecessary speculation."

Speaking about Ortega, she is busy with 'Wednesday' next season, which explores the Addams family dynamics.

Speaking with Esquire, Ortega shed some light on 'Wednesday' Season 3, saying, "This season, especially because the kids are seniors in high school now, we’re dealing with more confrontational feelings regarding family and what it means to be an adult and what you see for your life."

"It’s not really until you get to the precipice of adulthood that you start to realize, 'Oh, God, well, maybe I’ve got to have a plan," she added. 

Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman will be returning for the new season. New additions include Eva Green as Aunt Ophelia, along with guest stars Winona Ryder, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance.
