Jennifer Aniston, 55, who gained worldwide fame for her role as Rachel Green on the sitcom 'Friends' from 1994 to 2004—had a rough start to the 2024 Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
According to USA Today, Aniston's ticket failed to scan properly through security at the Peacock Theater and she was delayed for roughly two minutes. She was reportedly waiting with a "look of fixed serenity" on her face.
Thankfully, Aniston was allowed to enter the building because of an unidentified onlooker.
"Why are you not letting her in? You know who this is!" the onlooker exclaimed, per the outlet.
At that point, Aniston managed to get past security and onto the red carpet, where she participated in interviews and eventual photo shoots.
She ran across fellow candidate Robert Downey Jr after entering the auditorium, and he offered to take a picture with her to help her forget the incident.
"Let's go. This one is going to travel," Downey Jr said, smiling and putting his arm around Aniston.
Aniston's performance in Apple TV+'s 'The Morning Show' got her a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and an invitation to the Emmys. Although the 'Friends' alum did not receive any award, 'The Morning Show' did receive three Emmys.
