The post featured cherished black-and-white photos of the two from their 'Friends' days, including one of Perry affectionately kissing her forehead in the beloved Central Perk coffee house set along with a happy solo shot of Perry.

Matthew Perry's sudden death

Matthew Perry, known for his iconic role as Chandler Bing on 'Friends', died at the age of 54 at his home in Los Angeles in 2023.

Initially reported as a drowning, his death was later attributed to complications involving ketamine, as revealed in an autopsy obtained by People.

The drug was known to have contributed to his struggles with addiction, a battle he had openly shared in hopes of helping others.

Shortly after his death, Aniston and her former 'Friends' castmates expressed their profound grief in a statement, saying they were “so utterly devastated” by the loss.

“We were more than just castmates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss,” the group said at the time.

“Making you laugh just made my day. It made my day :)” read Perry's message.

Concluding her post, Aniston wrote, “Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain."

"I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying, ‘Could you BE any crazier?’ Rest little brother. You always made my day," she added, according to People.
