LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Matthew Perry's Los Angeles home where he died has been sold for $8.55 million in an off-market deal nearly a year after his death on October 28, 2023.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom property, located in LA's Pacific Palisades neighborhood, spans 3,500 square feet and was initially purchased by Perry for $6 million in 2020, according to The New York Times.
Who bought Matthew Perry's LA home?
Greg Holcombe of Carolwood Estates held the listing for the property, while Brooke Elliott Laurinkus of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California represented the buyer, Anita Verma-Lallian, an Arizona-based movie producer and founder of Arizona Land Consulting.

Verma-Lallian reportedly acquired the home as an investment property.
Perry’s residence had recently undergone renovations before his death and a source close to the late actor revealed that he had been “incredibly happy” in the home, referring to it as his “heaven,” according to People.
In addition to the Pacific Palisades home, another of Perry’s properties in the Hollywood Hills was listed for sale in May 2024 for $5.2 million.
Records show that the 'Fools Rush In' actor purchased the Hollywood Hills home in June 2023, just four months before his death.
Matthew Perry’s tragic death
Matthew Perry was found unresponsive in the hot tub of his Los Angeles property, and his cause of death was later determined to be the acute effects of ketamine, with contributing factors including coronary artery disease, buprenorphine effects (a medication for opioid use disorder), and drowning.
Following Perry's death at the age of 54, his family released a statement expressing their deep sorrow, saying, “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother."
"Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love,” read the statement.
Perry was born to actor John Bennett Perry and Suzanne Perry, who served as press secretary to Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau before moving into political consulting.
In 1970, the couple divorced, and Suzanne later married Keith Morrison in 1981.
The 'Friends' star grew up with four half-siblings from his mother’s second marriage, Caitlin, Emily, Will, and Madeline, as well as a half-sister, Maria Perry, from his father’s second marriage to Debbie Perry.
Following his death, Perry’s estate was divided among his parents, half-sister Caitlin Morrison, and his ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn.
