On May 5, 48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle from New Albany, Mississippi, crashed his grey Chrysler PT Cruiser through Aniston’s Bel-Air home’s front gate, causing major damage.

Security guards detained him until the Los Angeles Police Department arrived. Since March 2023, Carwyle has reportedly been sending Aniston unwanted voicemail, email, and social media messages, per BBC.

He was arrested and booked on felony vandalism charges and is being held without bond.

“She loves her house in Bel-Air, but she’s been living alone a long time, and this incident tipped her over the edge. She feels the whole city is dangerous and depressing and that she’s too isolated and needs to get out,” a source told Radar Online.

Notably, the 'Morning Show' star already owns a Mediterranean-style farmhouse in the area, purchased in September 2022 for $14.8 million, per Realty NXT. The property had previously belonged to Oprah Winfrey.

“The home she’s building there is almost finished, so there’s nothing to stop her from moving right now if she wanted to – plus she has friends there,” the insider added.

“But she’s also not opposed to buying a property in upstate New York, where Michelle Williams has a farmhouse,” the source shared.

Jennifer Aniston's silver anniversary with Brad Pitt adds to emotional strain

The publication also mentioned that Jennifer Aniston’s impending silver wedding anniversary with ex-husband Brad Pitt this July is adding to her distress, further pushing her to leave her Bel-Air home.

“Every anniversary is like a knife to the heart, but this one will be worse because it will be the silver anniversary," added the insider.

It further reported that her inner circle is not "freaking out" on her decision to move.

They further divulged that Aniston will keep LA as her base for some time, but "she’s definitely looking for a new home,” the source concluded.
