LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: According to a recent report, Jennifer Aniston, who was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2025, has no plans to congratulate her ex-husband on his divorce settlement with Angelina Jolie.

However, a source close to the 'Friends' star told the Daily Mail that the former couple will be "cordial with each other" the "next time they see each other" following Pitt and Jolie's contentious eight-year divorce battle.

Pitt and Jolie came to a settlement on Monday, December 30, eight years after the actress first filed for divorce in September 2016. Jolie cited "irreconcilable differences" at the time and asked for full custody of the couple's six children.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt intend to be 'cordial with each other'

Despite the well-publicized love triangle and the years of media attention it garnered, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have remained on good terms following his split from Angelina Jolie.

According to reports, Aniston "would love Brad to be happy" as he moves forward, but has no intention to "offer any congratulations" to her ex-husband after his divorce from Jolie was finalized.

The 'Tomb Raider' actress eventually signed her divorce papers on Christmas Day, marking the legal end of a difficult eight-year fight between her and Pitt.

Pitt famously divorced Aniston in 2005 after he met Jolie while working on 'Mr & Mrs Smith.' The 'Troy' star and Jolie got married for 11 years before their marriage ended in a flash in 2016.

Aniston and Pitt have maintained a cordial relationship since his split with Jolie, notable for their embrace at the 2020 SAG Awards, notwithstanding the highly publicized love triangle and multiple headlines it generated over the years.

However, Aniston has no desire to discuss her ex-husband's recent divorce update, either in public or privately, according to an exclusive source.

"Jen isn't looking to talk about Brad and Angelina's divorce publicly, nor is she looking to reach out to Brad and offer any congratulations," the insider revealed to the publication.

"The next time they see each other, they'll be cordial with each other, they have been in the recent past and that won't change," the insider said, revealing how Aniston intends to approach her ex when they next cross paths at industry gatherings.

The insider said of the former couple, "They will talk about life and mostly anything else, but they aren't going to dive into his feelings about the divorce or anything like that."

"Angelina is not a talking point between them and that will remain the same forever," the source added.

Meanwhile, Jolie and Pitt have admitted that they are still at odds over a $62 million French chateau and vineyard that they once owned together even after settling their divorce.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016 after only two years of marriage. The action was taken a few days after Jolie claimed that Pitt abused her and their six children during a private jet flight, but there were no charges brought against him after an investigation.

Later, Jolie and Pitt issued a joint statement where they promised to protect their children's privacy throughout the divorce process.

The former couple share six children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16.
