Jennifer Garner 'convinced' ex Ben Affleck doesn't eat healthy food unless she cooks for him: Source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Garner has proved that she and her ex-husband Ben Affleck are still on good terms as sources revealed that Garner often cooks for Affleck because she worries about her ex's health without her help.
Sources further revealed that Garner is concerned that Affleck does not take care of his health and is "convinced" that he does not eat "enough healthy food" unless she cooks for him.
Jennifer Garner helps Ben Affleck with a 'care package of food'
Ben Affleck, 52, and Jennifer Garner, 52, got married in 2005, split up in 2015, and finalized their divorce in 2018. Garner reportedly supported Affleck in his separation from Jennifer Lopez in 2024, proving that the former partners are still friendly.
Now that the 'Air' actor is on his own, Garner reportedly worries that Affleck doesn't care about his health. Sources revealed to InTouch Weekly that Garner frequently feeds her ex-husband when he shows up for family dinners.
"Ben leans on her for everything, he’s got his own place but he’s still at her house all the time for family dinners and she never fails to send him home with a care package of food," a source said.
The source added that Garner is "very concerned about his health, to the point where she reminds him when he needs to see the doctor and the dentist and even sends him vitamins to take because she’s convinced he doesn’t get enough healthy food when she’s not cooking for him."
According to the insider, Affleck enjoys the extra attention from his ex, even though "some men would find it annoying."
Affleck reportedly "loves being looked after" by Garner. "He goes to her whenever he has a big career or life decision to make for her advice," the insider said, noting that the movie star's actions are not something "new."
The source said, "Even when he was married to JLo he’d got to Jen for her advice, which as you can imagine did not do his marriage any favors."
"But now he’s single again and free to talk to her 10 times a day if he wants, and there are days he does," the source added.
Jennifer Garner brings bagels to ex Ben Affleck's house
Jennifer Garner treated her ex-husband Ben Affleck to breakfast bagels on Saturday, December 7, demonstrating once again how well they get along.
The 'Alias' star was seen bringing three bags marked "fresh hot bagels" to Affleck's house in Los Angeles. Later, the ex-couple—who have three children together, took a drive around the Brentwood area, per Daily Mail.
They rolled down their windows and relished the cool December air before heading back to Affleck's house. Garner looked comfortable for the day wearing blue jeans and a light blue sweater.
The former couple spent Thanksgiving with their kids at a homeless shelter amid Affleck's divorce from Lopez, 55, with whom he reunited in April 2021, nearly 20 years after calling off their initial engagement in the early 2000s.
Garner and Affleck provided food for 2,000 homeless and near-homeless individuals in the Los Angeles region together with Midnight Mission, per Cheat Sheet.
The 'Gone Girl' actor feels "blessed" to be able to spend the holiday with his family, a source told Page Six, because he "can just be himself" around Garner.
The insider added, "Even though Ben and Jen have been split for a while now, he feels a certain level of comfort with her. Ben has a strong relationship with Jen that will never dissipate because they have a lot of history together, and she’s the mother of his kids."
