Jennifer Garner’s 'Deadpool & Wolverine' cameo was announced ahead of time

Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra Natchios was the sole cameo for the third 'Deadpool' to be officially revealed in advance.

The film, brimming with other jaw-dropping cameos and beloved Marvel faces in the cinematic universe, is brought to life by director Shawn Levy, who previously collaborated with Garner on the 2022 hit 'The Adam Project'.

In a particular scene, Reynolds' character Deadpool offers his sympathies to past Marvel characters who didn't make it through the wasteland, a place where variants from various timelines are erased.

When Deadpool references Daredevil, a role once portrayed by Affleck, Garner's Elektra nonchalantly responds with, "Oh, it's fine," dismissing the character's absence with ease.

Garner first brought the Marvel character to life in 2003's 'Daredevil', where she starred alongside Affleck, leading to a solo adventure with the release of 'Elektra' in 2005.

During a chat with Glamour in May 2023, Garner reflected on the difficulties of donning Elektra's form-fitting outfit. She also shared that she had to undergo intense martial arts training to become proficient with the sai weapons.

"I had to be cut out of and sewn into the pleather pants every time I had to pee, and that was like a 45-minute undertaking. So I definitely held it in. And I had so many chicken-cutlet fake b**bs in to make Elektra's b**bs; I think there were three on each side of different sizes. And everything was pushed up and out."

"I was just this close to a wardrobe malfunction at all times," she added. "There's not enough tape in the world to make this stuff safe."

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck share a mature relationship post-divorce in 2005

The former couple began dating in 2004 and were married in June 2005. They have three children together: Violet (born 2005), Seraphina (born 2009), and Samuel (born 2012).

Their marriage lasted for over a decade, but they announced their separation in June 2015, finalizing their divorce in October 2018.

Despite their split, they have remained committed to co-parenting their children, emphasizing love and friendship in their post-marriage relationship.

Garner has expressed support for Affleck's current marriage to Jennifer Lopez, appreciating how Lopez grounds him and helps him avoid past vices.

The actress is currently in a relationship with businessman John Miller and is reportedly very happy with him.

Garner is recognized for her roles in action-packed films like 'The Kingdom' (2007) and 'Peppermint' (2018).

While promoting 'Peppermint,'' she confided to Entertainment Weekly her eagerness to dive into more action roles, though she struggled to find projects that sparked her interest.

"I’d wanted to do something physical, but the roles that came my way didn’t have high enough stakes to make me believe in them. The drama has to be real, and the reason for risk has to be the highest imaginable," she said.
