The 28-year-old took to Instagram to announce the good news on Thursday, June 27, "Leila, being promoted to big sister 💕” she captioned the post.

She shared the cute image with her firstborn, Leila, as she cradled her baby bump.

The daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates, who recently graduated from Stanford University along with her husband Nayel Nassar, is set to start her career as a pediatrician in New York City.

Jennifer and Nassar celebrated their baby girl’s first birthday in February and posted adorable snaps on the social media site.

"Can’t believe this girl made us parents one year ago today. Leila, you’ve brought indescribable joy to this world with your endless laughter, curiosity, and love for all things animal🐴🐶!" Jennifer wrote in the caption.

"Happy birthday sweet girl, we love you unconditionally forever, and can’t wait to see what the next year will bring! 💗🥹✨♾️," she added.

Jennifer’s younger sister recently completed her graduation from the same campus where their mother French Gates also delivered a commencement speech.

“I knew I had to make it happen if I could, because I wanted to watch my mother deliver this year’s commencement speech as a graduate. I can’t think of a better ending!” Phoebe said, according to Nylon.

"So grateful to have my parents by my side on this day," she further said.
