Jennifer Lopez 'upset and disappointed' with Ben Affleck as divorce proceedings continue
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck began encountering marital issues in May—long before Lopez filed for divorce in August, on the same day of their second wedding anniversary.
Now, a People insider claimed that Lopez is "very upset and disappointed" with Affleck amid their divorce because it "really hit her hard." This occurred amid reports that in recent weeks, Affleck has been "hanging out" with Kick Kennedy, the 36-year-old daughter of Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The actress-singer, 55, filed for divorce from the 'Air' star, 52, on August 20, citing April 26 as the date of separation. The two had been apart for the majority of the summer amid rumors about their romance.
Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court without a lawyer present. A legal expert told People on August 21 that the move showed she "just wanted to get this done" and move forward.
As per the recent source, the 'Atlas' star is "very upset and disappointed," and that the divorce "really hit her hard." The person continued that Lopez is not comfortable in the enormous Beverly Hills estate that the pair bought in 2023 for a reported $60 million.
"She and Ben bought the house for the whole family. It’s way too big for her and filled with too many memories as well," the source said.
Bennifer placed the opulent 38,000 square-foot property with 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms up for sale in June, nearly two months before Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court and asked for the separation from Affleck.
Earlier this week, a different source claimed to People that Lopez is "doing as well as she can" and "seems relieved" following her filing. "She didn't want a divorce. She wanted to figure things out," the source said.
Lopez stayed in New York City after attending the Met Gala alone, while Affleck stayed in Los Angeles to continue filming 'The Accountant 2,' a follow-up to his 2016 action thriller.
Ben Affleck reportedly 'doing well and is very focused' after divorce
Ben Affleck remains committed to his career and family following Jennifer Lopez's divorce filing. Affleck was spotted out to dinner on Sunday, August 25, at the Los Angeles restaurant Toscana, with friend and colleague Matt Damon and Damon's wife Luciana.
Following Lopez's divorce filing, which came after months of rumors that their marriage was failing, a source told People that Affleck is "doing well and is very focused."
The source said, "He thrives when he has work projects. He's been great when it comes to the kids too. He's doing exactly what he wants. He seems very happy."
According to the insider, Affleck believed he was "done with his marriage" when he first moved out of the shared Los Angeles apartment he shared with Lopez.
The source remarked, "You could tell that he was upset about it though," regarding Affleck's choice to move out. "He knew he was letting [Lopez] down. He felt very bad about it."
"He and [Lopez] just have very different lifestyles. He realized he would never be happy with her lifestyle. And he didn't expect it to change," the insider added.
Insiders initially revealed to People that the couple parted ways on May 17. Lopez's divorce filing stated that they had separated due to irreconcilable differences.
Affleck is a father to three children alongside his ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. Lopez has twins, Max and Emme, 16, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
