'Aging in Hollywood is really hard'
Recently, Love Hewitt opened up about aging in Hollywood as she replied back to the trolls who criticized her appearance and claimed she used Instagram filters to hide "know how bad she actually looks now in her 40s".
The 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' actress recently shared in an episode of the 'Inside of You' podcast that her hair transformation in August taught her an important lesson as she was subjected to harsh criticism from her audience.
She said in the podcast, "Aging in Hollywood is really hard. You can't do anything right," per E! News.
She went on to exemplify by saying, "I was getting my hair done and I had not a stitch of makeup on," before adding, "So, I threw on a filter. I really gave it no thought."
Her adding the filters created ripples on the Internet as trolls came at her. She recalled, "A bunch of people were like, ‘Jennifer Love Hewitt is unrecognizable.' ‘She's unrecognizable, so she's gone to filters because she doesn't want us to know how bad she actually looks now in her 40s'."
The 44-year-old star then reflected, "This is crazy, right?"
