Jennifer Tilly reveals why she 'never ever' wanted to have children: 'Sometimes I make bad choices'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Tilly has opened up on her decision of not having children, sharing how her personal experiences influenced her choice.

The 66-year-old actress, known for her role in the 'Chucky' franchise, spoke about the topic during her appearance on 'The Sherri Show' on Thursday, February 27.

Jennifer Tilly says she feared making 'the same mistakes' as her mother

Jennifer Tilly, who also joined this season of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills', previously discussed her decision on the show, explaining how she never felt the desire to have children.

"I never ever wanted kids. And I had, sort of, not a really great childhood and I felt like, well maybe I’ll make the same mistakes as my mother did because I could see myself making those mistakes," Tilly said on the show.

"And I was like, you know what, sometimes I make bad choices in men and I didn’t want to put my kids through that," she added, according to People.

She shared that she once dated someone who wanted children, but she believed he would not have been a good father.

Despite her firm stance, Jennifer Tilly recalled how biological instincts briefly crept into her thoughts as she got older.

"But there is such a thing as a biological clock, cause I always had it for my career. Like, ‘Oh, I’m not getting famous fast enough.’ But there is a biological clock, and I had it when I got to be about 37," Tilly said.

"I would dream I was running through these darkened rooms and they were all crawling with babies and they were grabbing hold of me," Tilly continued.

"They were like, ‘Mommy, mommy, we want to be born!’ And I was slapping them down and I was like, ‘Out of my way! I’m late for the Oscars’,” Tilly revealed about her vivid dreams, drawing laughs. 

Jennifer Tilly says 'Chucky' movies are her 'contribution to the world'

Jennifer Tilly, known for playing Tiffany Valentine in the 'Chucky' universe, reaffirmed her decision by explaining how she sees her work as her legacy.

"My contribution to the world is [the] 'Chucky' movie. I think that’s a very important contribution," Tilly said.

"I don’t dream about having a baby that’s going to be the next president or, you know, discover the cure to some incurable disease," she added.

"I dream about people coming to visit my grave and leaving me little Chucky dolls on my grave," she said.
