LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jeremy Renner may have spent 2024 focusing on recovery, but he wasn’t doing it alone.

Sources have confirmed that the 'Avengers' star, 54, had an off-and-on romance with 26-year-old fashion influencer Cassandra “CC” Mason for about eight months last year.

Jeremy Renner was in a relationship with a significantly younger influencer last year, Page Six exclusively reported. 

Sources said their bond was strengthened by shared experiences with major health challenges. Renner survived a near-fatal snowplow accident in January 2023.

Renner was trying to stop his snow-removal tractor from sliding and hitting his nephew when he was pulled under the vehicle and crushed on New Year’s Day in 2023. The accident left him with more than 30 broken bones and it took him months to recover.

 Mason, 26, on the other hand, battled and overcame thyroid cancer at a young age.

Back in 2019, Mason took to Instagram to share a milestone in her health journey, writing, "4 YEARS CANCER FREE!!! Not many people know that 4 years ago I was diagnosed with 2 types of thyroid cancer."

"Today, I received my 4 years ALL CLEAR! Today is a day to be thankful for everything! Life is too short! Take advantage of EVERY day! Today is a day to CELEBRATE! I love you guys!"

An insider told Page Six that Renner and Mason connected not just over their personal health struggles but developed a deeper "mutual understanding" of each other's experiences.

Another source shared that the pair frequently spent time together between Los Angeles and London, where Renner was filming 'Knives Out 3'.

Mason was reportedly initially hesitant because of Renner’s “bad boy reputation” but ultimately found him to be “sweet” and “inspiring".

Though their relationship quietly ended, insiders say there’s no bad blood. They remain friends, but the reason behind their split remains unclear.

Renner and Mason have yet to publicly comment on their time together.
