WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Jesse Watters tore into Vice President Kamala Harris for her first solo interview after becoming the Democratic nominee, on Friday, September 13.

Harris appeared on Action News 6 ABC, a local affiliate of ABC News, where reportedly failed to be clear in her responses. For instance, when asked specifically about her plans to bring prices down for consumers, she shared that she grew up in a middle-class family and her proposals for tax breaks instead.

Jesse Watters' mockery of Kamala Harris' interview

The Fox News anchor left no grounds for trolling Harris and even went after her interviewer, network host Brian Taff.

"(Harris) gave her first solo interview to (Taff). Ever heard of him? We hadn't either," Watters stated in the evening episode of 'Primetime.' He highlighted the fact that Taff was simply a "local" anchor from a "local" television station, and yet Harris "could not get it together" while facing him during the interview.

Watters interspersed his comments with clips from the interview, the first of which showed Harris responding to the question on bringing down prices with, "I grew up a middle-class kid. I grew up in a community of hard-working people, you know, construction workers and nurses and teachers. So when I talk about building an opportunity economy, it is very much with the mind of investing in the ambitions and aspirations and the incredible work ethic of the American people and creating opportunity for people."

The response made Watters laugh, as he observed, "Kamala's only idea to fight inflation was price control. But she is not allowed to say that anymore because it is stupid. So she has nothing to say, and just runs out the clock with childhood stories."

He also slammed her tepid response to the question of how she was different from the incumbent, Joe Biden, saying that it was the goal of her entire campaign.

"The campaign slogan is a new way forward. It's a new way forward from Joe Biden. So how exactly are you a new way forward? She couldn't answer," he stated, later adding, "Of all the things, the only difference between Kamala and Joe Biden is a $3,000 difference in the child tax credit."

"She doesn't have any new ideas. She can't say how she is different than Joe Biden, and she is so nervous you can hear her swallowing. Maybe she is nervous because she doesn't see a path to victory," Watters expressed at the end.

Conservatives slam Kamala Harris over her interview

Netizens, especially conservatives, reacting to Jesse Watters' comments on X (formerly Twitter), backed him in calling out the Democratic nominee, The following tweets demonstrate their takes.

"Couldn't even give one or two specific examples of how she'd bring down prices, yet we're supposed to trust her to make the hard decisions?" wrote a user.

"Not so easy when you don't have the questions ahead of time," jibed another.

"Not such a badass without cheaters propping you up and sneak holding your hand now are you, Kamala?" chided a third.

"Kamala is a fraud and everyone knows it," quipped a fourth.

"Holy wow! That was hard to watch!" expressed a fifth user.
