Jessica Simpson says 'life was very different' after separation
Jessica Simpson reflected on the impact of her separation during her performance at the Luck Reunion festival in Texas on Friday, March 14.
“I was out in Nashville and I had my heart wide open, I was in a very intuitive state and I had to ask some very personal questions on the home front,” Simpson, 44, said during her set.

"I found out that my world had been turned upside down and that life was very different,” she continued, adding "I am now a very single lady.”
Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson were in a 'painful situation'
Jessica Simpson confirmed their separation in a statement to media outlets on January 13, 2025, revealing that they had been living apart.
“Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson stated.
“Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family,” she added.

The news followed speculation about their split, which had been circulating since November 2024 after Simpson teased new music.
