NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel responded to Donald Trump’s remarks against Taylor Swift and pointed out the president’s obsession with the pop star.

Trump mocked Swift on social media after leaving the Super Bowl early. The president said Swift was booed at the game while boasting about receiving cheers himself.

Following the Super Bowl where the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22, Trump claimed Swift was booed while he was cheered at the Superdome in New Orleans.

"The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving," Trump wrote in a video clip posted on Truth Social.

A few days later, Trump reshared a post that said, "Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed."

Meanwhile, Kimmel, 57, addressed the claims during his monologue on the February 10 episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' stating, "Well, she didn’t get booed out of the stadium."

Jimmy Kimmel slams Donald Trump for leaving early and praised Taylor Swift for staying throughout the game

When the Grammy-winning singer was booed on Sunday while showing support for the Kansas City Chiefs, she gave the camera an intense side-eye.

“Aw, what? What’s going on?” Swift asked Ice Spice, according to a lip reader, noted Page Six.

Kimmel took further jab at Trump, pointing out that Swift remained at the Super Bowl while Trump left early.

"Unlike you, she stayed for the whole game, and it was the Eagles fans who were booing her," said Kimmel, addressing Trump’s claim.

The late-night host then added, "But you’re right, it’s all about you. It’s always all about you."

Kimmel also mocked Trump's obsession with Swift, saying, "Trump’s just jealous of Taylor Swift because she has more followers and more money and no kids than he does."

Internet reacts to Jimmy Kimmel calling Donald Trump over Taylor Swift's Super Bowl controversy

Donald Trump and Taylor Swift have long been on opposite sides of the political spectrum.

Swift endorsed President Joe Biden in 2020 and former Vice President Kamala Harris in the previous election.

Online users reacted to the controversy, debating whether Swift was actually booed. "She got booed because she's a PA native sitting in the Chiefs’ luxury box," one person wrote on X.

"She absolutely got booed lmao," said another user.

"Do you know how stupid you sound?" another person commented.

A Kimmel supporter wrote, "Sadly, everything Kimmel is saying is 1000% true."

"She got booed at her boyfriend’s football game and he got shot at his own rally, so where’s the drag?" another user added.
