WASHINGTON, DC: Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel fired back after President Donald Trump went on a Truth Social rant attacking him.

In a recent Truth Social post, the POTUS called Kimmel a “bum” with “no talent” and urged ABC to “get the bum off the air!” The outburst came just two months after Trump celebrated Kimmel’s brief removal from ABC’s schedule.

“You tried to get me fired in September, and it didn’t work!" Jimmy Kimmel reminded Donald Trump.

He joked that he admired Trump’s “tenacity” and offered him a deal: “How about this: I’ll go when you go, OK? Let’s ride off into the sunset together like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”

Then Kimmel added, “And until then, if I may borrow a phrase from you: Quiet, piggy,” referencing a comment Trump made to a female reporter.

The comedian also responded to Trump’s Truth Social rant by pointing out the post's timing, saying, “12:49 AM, 11 minutes after the show ended on the East Coast. Which is nice. He watches us live.” He waved at the camera and said, “Hi, Mr. President. Thanks for watching us on TV instead of on YouTube... It’s viewers like you who keep us on the air.”

Kimmel said he has lost track of how many times Trump has demanded that he be taken off television. “I have honestly lost count now of how many times the president has demanded I be pulled off the air. I mean, talk about a snowflake, this guy,” he joked. “Every five weeks, he flips out and wants me fired.”

He also mentioned Trump’s other attempts to pressure networks to fire TV hosts he dislikes. “He’s been trying to get Seth Meyers fired,” Kimmel said. He then cited a report from The Guardian claiming Trump also wants CNN hosts Brianna Keilar and Erin Burnett removed.

“He thinks this is some kind of Choose Your Own News Anchor situation,” Kimmel joked. “He wants every channel to be Newsmax.”

Trump demands ‘bum’ Jimmy Kimmel be taken off air after Epstein jab

Donald Trump attacked Jimmy Kimmel on Truth Social after Jimmy Kimmel joked in his monologue that the commander-in-chief was “bracing for Hurricane Epstein.”

On Truth Social, Trump asked, “Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with no talent and very poor television ratings, on the air?” He continued, “Why do the TV syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage. Get the bum off the air!!!”

During his November 19 monologue, Kimmel told viewers, “We are carefully following the path of Hurricane Epstein right now. It is a category 5; it’s expected to make landfall sometime very soon.”

The YouTube version of the segment was titled, “Trump Braces for Hurricane Epstein, Spews Nonsense & Elon Joins for Dinner with Saudi Crown Prince.”

Kimmel also joked about Trump’s possible involvement in whatever information might come from the Epstein files, saying, “We are one step closer to answering the question, what did the president know and how old were these women when he knew it.” He followed with another punchline: “It was such a landslide, Trump might actually be able to rebury the Epstein files under it.”
