JoJo Siwa sets the record straight on 'special' bond with Chris Hughes after breaking up with Kath Ebbs

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: JoJo Siwa has finally addressed rumors about her relationship with 'Celebrity Big Brother UK' co-star Chris Hughes.
The 21-year-old star opened up about their connection after fans speculated about a possible romance following her split from Kath Ebbs.

Siwa in an interview with Us Weekly published Friday. said, “What’s so special about Chris and I is that our bond is so genuine that neither of us care what people make of it,” said Siwa.
“Because we know our genuine friendship and we know our bond. It’s a great little special friendship that we have. And I literally send him videos of us dancing all the time,” Siwa added.
Hughes, 32, showed public support for Siwa during their time on 'Celebrity Big Brother UK' after fellow housemate Mickey Rourke made openly homophobic comments.
“I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian, but I think you — I think being here, I’ve realized, ‘Oh no, I’m not a lesbian, I’m queer,’” she told co-star Danny Beard.

Dating rumors swirled after Siwa and Hughes were spotted together at a UK golf and tennis club, shortly after her breakup with Kath Ebbs. But Siwa cleared the air, making it clear the bond they share is platonic.

“Obviously he stood up for me in the beginning right away, which was beautiful,” said Siwa.
She went on to share a playful memory that deepened their friendship. “And then, he threw a ball of socks at me to catch it, and it knocked me straight in the face,” she recalled.
“And it was probably that day that I just felt, and he felt as well, that this person is meant to be in my life.”

Siwa described their dynamic as rare and meaningful. “I’ve had it with a few other people in my life, friends who come into your life and the dynamic is so special,” she said.

Siwa addressed the speculation about a possible romance with Hughes and said they remain unbothered by public assumptions.
“People just run with whatever they want, with whatever they want to believe,” Siwa said.

She confirmed the two plan to stay close, regardless of the chatter.
“We are friends and we are going to continue to be in each other’s lives,” she said.
“The world having whatever say they have isn’t going to make us never see each other. I think the world expected us to be like ‘ooh, rumors, we can never see each other.’ Believe it or not, it’s not what we talk about," she said in the interview to the publication.
