WEST POINT, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden faced a wave of criticism on social media following his speech to the graduating cadets at the United States Military Academy in New York on Saturday, May 25.

Internet users highlighted moments where President Biden appeared to lose track of his speech.

Joe Biden’s stance on Ukraine-Russia conflict

Biden addressed the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, expressing solidarity with Ukraine and condemning the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We are standing strong with Ukraine and we will stand with them. We are standing against a man who I have known well for many years, a brutal tyrant, and we will not walk away,” Biden declared.

However, when discussing Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Biden appeared to falter.

“Putin was certain that NATO [North Atlantic Treaty Organization] would fracture. I met with him right after being elected president before, right after I was sworn in, and we talked about this very issue," he said.

"The fall, he attacked that fall—he decided to, look, I shouldn’t get into this probably. It gets me a little excited,” he further said, according to Newsweek

'Confused again': Internet mocks Joe Biden over speech gaffe

Another added, “Yeah, he probably shouldn’t get into that…” while a third commented, “Laughter. At him not with him.”

One user noted, “'Look, I shouldn’t get into this probably” is actually something Biden has said on multiple occasions. It’s when he loses his train of thought in the middle of his remarks.”

Joe Biden trolled for getting 'sidetracked from teleprompter'

More users questioned Biden's speech gaffe asking how someone reading from a teleprompter gets sidetracked.

"How does one get sidetracked when reading straight from a teleprompter? The man is gone," wrote one more X user.

"SMH. Quit giving that man a microphone. His handlers should be ashamed of themselves," commented another user.

One referred to his upcoming debate with former president Donald Trump saying, "Gonna be an interesting debate. He can't even read the teleprompter now."

"If he keeps this up, we're going to have to all get a subscription to an interpretation language app, just to understand what he's saying!" wrote one more.
