WASHINGTON, DC: Passengers on a routine commercial flight got an experience they didn’t sign up for - in the best way possible when former President Joe Biden casually mingled with travelers mid-air on Wednesday, April 1.

Videos circulating online show Biden walking through the cabin, greeting people and posing for photos, leaving one stunned passenger to remark, “Can’t believe this isn’t an April Fools joke.”

Joe Biden shares heartwarming moment with travelers

The viral moment began when a young passenger noticed something unusual just a few rows away - the 46th president of the United States sitting quietly, reading.

According to clips shared online, Biden was seated only a short distance away, traveling alongside Jill Biden in what appeared to be the business class section.

What started as a surprising sight quickly turned into a full-fledged interaction.

Biden got up and began moving through the aisle, stopping to greet passengers, exchange a few words, and take selfies.

One of those moments involved a young flyer named Cailyn, who not only spoke with the former president but also snapped a smiling photo with him - a moment that would soon go viral.

But it didn’t stop at a quick hello.

In a gesture that stood out across social media, Biden took the time to write a personal note, transforming a chance encounter into something far more memorable.

The handwritten message read “Cailyn, It was truly a pleasure getting to meet and speak with you on your flight to the West Coast. You and my wife Jill ‘Dr Biden’ both from Delaware. Remember me when you are president. Joe Biden, Keep the faith”

The line “Remember me when you are president” quickly caught attention online, with many users pointing out its light humor and signature Biden-style warmth.

In a separate post on her social media, Cailyn posted pictures with Biden with the caption: "Such an honor meeting President Joe Biden on my flight yesterday. He was so kind, introduced me to Dr Biden, and even wrote me a note at the end of the flight."

"The last sentence read, 'Remember me when you are the president'. A moment I will never forget," she wrote.

The interaction also stood out because public sightings of Biden have been relatively limited since he left the White House.

Also, rather than remaining seated, Biden appeared fully at ease walking through the cabin, chatting and engaging with passengers in a way that felt spontaneous rather than staged.
