The exchange during his podcast, which aired on Friday, May 29, centered on claims of objects moving through water at extreme speeds and of unidentified underwater activity reportedly discussed in congressional conversations.

Joe Rogan recounts Tim Burchett's 'alien bases' claims
During the discussion, Rogan referenced remarks he attributed to Rep Tim Burchett, suggesting there are multiple locations in the ocean where unexplained phenomena have been reported.
He described claims of “crafts that move in a way that we can’t right now,” adding that they could reach speeds of “500 miles an hour under the water” and behave as “transmedium” objects capable of moving through air and water.
“They’re talking crafts that move in a way that we can’t right now. 500 miles an hour under the water. They’re transmedium, meaning they can go above the ground and in the water. It doesn’t seem like it’s causing them any resistance,” Rogan said.

Rogan also suggested that Burchett had pointed to several possible underwater zones where such activity might occur, though he noted uncertainty about the exact number of locations mentioned.
“He said that there’s these three locations, I think it’s three or five, I can’t remember which one he said,” Rogan added. “So he said there’s these spots under the ocean where regularly they have these events where things come out of the ocean.”
Williams reacted with skepticism, joking about the credibility of the claims, while Rogan defended Burchett’s seriousness, saying he considered him an “honest man.”

The conversation quickly moved between disbelief and speculation, with Williams questioning whether the references were to marine life or extraterrestrial sources, while Rogan continued to relay what he said were congressional discussions around unidentified phenomena.
Tim Burchett's previous remarks on aliens
Earlier, while speaking to Piers Morgan, Rep Tim Burchett said he believes aliens exist, pointing to information he received during government briefings.
In the interview with Morgan on April 21, he explained that while he has not personally witnessed unidentified craft, he has been shown videos and photos by officials and has heard testimony from highly trained military pilots.
Burchett said some pilots have reported close encounters with unknown aircraft, which he finds difficult to dismiss.
He added that these accounts, combined with classified briefings, have convinced him that there is more the government has not publicly disclosed and called for greater transparency on the issue.
