WASHINGTON, DC: The White House raised eyebrows on Thursday, May 28, after unveiling a space-themed website that compares undocumented immigrants to “aliens” while showcasing immigration arrest data from across the United States.

The unusual website immediately grabbed attention online because of its dramatic sci-fi presentation, which appeared to parody conspiracy theories about extraterrestrials while promoting the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.

Visitors opening the website are greeted with a cinematic-style introduction that resembles the famous opening sequence from the ‘Star Wars’ franchise.

“They walk among us,” the website states.

“For 60 years, the U.S. government has kept a closely guarded secret. Aliens have been walking among us, living in our neighborhoods, and interacting with us in our daily lives. They’ve shopped in the same stores, attended the same classes as our children, and lived seemingly normal human existences,” the message continues.

“With one exception — they do not belong here.”

The website repeatedly uses the word “aliens” as a reference to undocumented immigrants while leaning heavily into UFO imagery and science-fiction-inspired language.

Another section of the page praises President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda directly.

“President Trump was the first to call out the real danger Aliens pose to every American family, every community, and the future of our nation,” the site reads.

Alien.gov and Aliens.gov launch fuels online confusion

The White House had already sparked curiosity earlier this year after quietly registering the domains Alien.gov and Aliens.gov in March.

At the time, some speculated the pages could be tied to Trump’s public push for releasing government files related to UFO sightings and extraterrestrial encounters.

That speculation only intensified Thursday afternoon when the administration teased the project on X with a mysterious 14-second video.

The clip showed a searchlight scanning over what appeared to be a crop circle with the word “Loading” placed at the center.

Instead of alien disclosure material, however, the website turned out to be focused entirely on immigration enforcement and deportation statistics.

A large ticker displayed on the homepage tracks what the administration describes as immigration “encounters,” with the number sitting at 3.1 million and rising as of Thursday evening.

The website does not clearly explain the timeframe connected to the figure, though the number appears to match a September 2024 report from Homeland Security Republicans about nationwide encounters recorded during Trump’s first term.

ICE arrest data and immigration maps featured on White House website

Beyond the theatrical presentation, the website also functions as a searchable database tied to immigration enforcement activity.

A heat map of the United States displays immigration arrest statistics pulled from Immigration and Customs Enforcement data.

Users can search by city or state to view details, including the number of arrests in that location, countries of origin connected to detainees, and alleged criminal charges or gang affiliations associated with cases.

The page additionally links users to the online ICE tip form, encouraging Americans to report what the White House describes as “suspicious aliens.”

The Department of Homeland Security, which oversees both ICE and Customs and Border Protection, has aggressively expanded immigration enforcement operations as part of Trump’s campaign promise to remove millions of people living in the country illegally.
