WASHINGTON, DC.: Podcast host Joe Rogan has surprisingly won over the liberals after speaking up against President Donald Trump’s handling of the deportations of immigrants. 

Rogan, a vocal Trump supporter who also helped pave the path of the 78-year-old Commander-in-Chief’s return to the White House, recently opened up on his podcast about the “over-correction” on illegal immigration, and warned against becoming “monsters” while “fighting monsters.”

On Thursday, April 17, episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the podcaster opened up about the adversities of becoming monsters while fighting crimes, including abandoning due process in deportations of suspected gang members.



 

Joe Rogan touches upon Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s deportation

During Thursday’s episode where he welcomed comic and podcast host Deric Poston as his guest, Joe Rogan touched upon issues like the deportation of immigrants, while hinting at the deportation of a Maryland man named Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador’s CECOT prison last month, which has since then taken the nation by a storm. 

As reported by Mediaite, Rogan touched upon the subject and made his views clear while not mentioning Trump or Abrego Garcia’s name.

The podcaster clarified that, in his view, the relinquishing of due process to deport immigrants just under suspicion of being a gang member is not right. 

Rogan characterized the move as a reaction to “radical” policies from the left, and spoke up against “over-correction.”

Rogan said, “So the over-correction is lack of due process,” before continuing, “The over-correction is like, round them all up, ship them to jail.”

Explaining the issue, he elaborated, “What if you are an enemy of, let’s not say any current president. Let’s pretend we got a new president, totally new guy in 2028, and this is a common practice now of just rounding up gang members with no due process and shipping them to El Salvador.”



 

He continued to play out the hypothetical conversation, “‘You’re a gang member. No, I’m not. Prove it. What? I got to go to court. No. No due process.”

“That is dangerous,” Rogan added, before warning ominously, “We got to be careful that we don’t become monsters while we’re fighting monsters.”

Abrego Garcia was deported to El Salvador's prison last month under suspicion of being an alleged member of the MS-13 gang.

Though the Trump administration later contended that he was sent due to "administrative error," they have refused to comply with the Supreme Court's order to "facilitate" his return to the US.

While Maryland's Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen flew out to El Salvador to meet Abrego Garcia, President Donald Trump criticized the visit. 

The President wrote on his Truth Social, "This is the hand of the man that the Democrats feel should be brought back to the United States, because he is such “a fine and innocent person.” They said he is not a member of MS-13, even though he’s got MS-13 tattooed onto his knuckles, and two Highly Respected Courts found that he was a member of MS-13, beat up his wife, etc. I was elected to take bad people out of the United States, among other things. I must be allowed to do my job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"



 

Joe Rogan hailed after his take on Trump admin's handling of deportations

Donald Trump supporter Joe Rogan was praised for being "the voice of reason" after his take on the administration's handling of the ongoing issues related to immigrant deportations.

One of the popular Trump-criticizing X accounts, Republicans Against Trump, shared Rogan's post, writing, "When Joe Rogan becomes the voice of reason…"



 

Another pointed out, "WATCH: “We gotta be careful we don’t become monsters.” Joe Rogan defends due process. (cc: Republicans)."



 

Someone else, however, cheered Rogan for his words, writing, "After helping elect a guy who doesn’t care about due process, I’m glad Joe is finally seeing the light."



 

"Someone needs to defend our Constitution because the President isn’t," chimed in another user. 



 

Someone else noted, "It's great that Rogan is defending due process but it should have started before he endorsed Trump. No one can pretend they didn't know what Trump was about before they voted for him. It seems it's only when we see our own personal liberties threatened that we respond to evil."



 

"Hats off to him for this," praised another social media user. 



 

Another netizen penned, "Finally, the broken clock is right for a change. Hopefully this kind of objectivity gets absorbed into more people who have otherwise had their judgments clouded."

Meanwhile, another X user pointed out, "Everything Rogan does is based on feedback and reading the room."
