WASHINGTON, DC: Comedian Joe Rogan took aim at President Donald Trump during a recent episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience,' mocking Trump’s display of a Joe Biden plaque inside the White House.

During a wide-ranging conversation with fellow comedian Shane Gillis, Rogan criticized what he described as an inappropriate use of the White House to settle personal and political grudges against a former president.

For context, Trump recently unveiled a self-styled “Presidential Walk of Fame,” featuring portraits of former US presidents alongside plaques describing their legacies in language that reflects his own political views.

Rogan discussed the plaque during a Christmas Day episode of his podcast, which ran for more than three hours. As he read aloud the inscription dedicated to former President Joe Biden, he repeatedly paused to react in disbelief.

He began by quoting the opening line, “‘Sleepy Joe Biden.’” Reacting immediately, Rogan exclaimed, “It says that? Oh my God!” expressing shock that such language appeared beneath an official White House portrait.

He continued reading, quoting, “‘Sleepy Joe Biden was, by far, the worst President in American history.’ This is so crazy. ‘Taking office as a result of the most corrupt Election ever seen in the United States, Biden oversaw a series of unprecedented disasters that brought… our Nation to the brink of destruction.’”

Rogan went on to read additional lines blaming Biden for inflation and immigration issues, including the claim that the US dollar lost more than 20 percent of its value over four years.

As he continued, Rogan commented on the tone and repetition of the language, noting that the plaque appeared to recycle the same accusations using slightly different phrasing. Gillis joked that it even listed “jails” and “prisons” as if they were separate institutions.

Rogan then read aloud another section referencing Biden’s mental fitness and foreign policy record.

He quoted, “‘Mental institutions, insane asylums… His Afghanistan disaster was among the most humiliating events in American history,’” before adding that the plaque also tied Biden to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel.

Reacting to repeated references to Biden as “Sleepy” and “Crooked,” Rogan said, “‘Nicknamed both ‘Sleepy’ and ‘Crooked’ — by you! Nicknamed? Like the whole public got together and decided that?’”

He added, “‘They and their allies in the Fake News Media attempted to cover up his severe mental decline and his unprecedented use of the autopen.’ This is so crazy.”

Rogan took particular issue with the broader implications of using the White House to display such messaging.

“This is not good,” he said. “You shouldn’t be allowed to do this. Other people could do that too, and then the White House stops being the White House. It just becomes whoever is in it going wild and calling everyone else a crook.”

Gillis questioned whether anyone else would push things that far, but Rogan disagreed.

“I hope not,” he said. “But the problem is it opens the door for someone on the left to do their version of it.”

The segment ended with Rogan reading the final line of the plaque, which declared that Trump would be re-elected in a landslide and “SAVE AMERICA.” Gillis responded bluntly, joking that Trump was “not beating the dictator charges” and comparing the moment to “an African dictatorship.”
