Joe Rogan mocks Trump, says he needs a ‘right-hand man’ to rein in embarrassing White House antics
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joe Rogan is no stranger to controversy, but this week, the podcaster appeared genuinely stunned as he and comedian Tom Segura dissected what they described as President Donald Trump’s increasingly bizarre behavior inside the White House.
During a recent episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience,' recorded earlier this week, Rogan and Segura mocked what they claimed were Trump’s self-aggrandizing changes to historic spaces, including plaques placed beneath presidential portraits and reported alterations to iconic landmarks.
By the end of the conversation, Rogan suggested the president needed someone close enough to stop what he described as deeply embarrassing behavior before it spiraled further.
Joe Rogan: “There’s nothing nuttier than the plaques underneath the President’s names. It’s insane. How is this real? How are you allowed to do that? The autopen photo of Joe Biden? Crazy. Reagan was a fan of Trump. What? Nuts.”

Joe Rogan and Tom Segura react to Donald Trump’s White House changes
Segura opened the exchange by referencing reports that Trump had added his name to the Kennedy Center.
“I think it was — these days you don’t know what has to be confirmed or not — but it looked like, on the Kennedy Center, they started putting the name Trump on it,” Segura said.
Rogan quickly backed him up. “Yeah, he added his name to it.”
The conversation escalated as Segura claimed Trump had removed the Rose Garden entirely, replacing it with a stark concrete surface.
“You’re like, what? Take it away. Now it’s like a cement f*cking plot,” Segura said.
Rogan admitted that what unsettled him most were the plaques allegedly installed beneath portraits of former presidents.
“There’s nothing nuttier than the plaques underneath the president’s names,” Rogan said.
“That’s insane,” Segura replied, as Rogan added that he and fellow comedian Shane Gillis had recently been reading them.
“It’s insane,” Segura repeated.
‘How is this real?’: Joe Rogan questions how Trump is allowed to do it
At one point, Rogan appeared genuinely baffled by how freely a sitting president could alter historic displays.
“How is this real?” he asked.
Segura offered a blunt explanation. “You can just probably, as president, do what you want in the White House.”
Rogan reluctantly agreed. “Turns out you obviously can. But nobody ever did it before.”
The pair debated whether Trump’s additions would ever be undone. Rogan was skeptical.
“No, they’ll be up forever,” he said. “They’re gonna leave it like that forever.”
Segura pushed back. “No f*cking way.”
Rogan responded by suggesting Trump’s presidency should almost be preserved as a warning. “They should have like the Trump wing. ‘This is what happened when he was president.’”
Comedians mock Trump’s plaques and rewriting of history
Segura went on to joke about what he believed the plaques actually said.
“This is, ‘Widely considered the worst president of all.’ Like, what are you talking about?” he said.
Rogan agreed that historical displays should reflect facts rather than personal grievances.
“It should be like a museum,” Rogan said. “It should be the facts of his presidency. What happened during his term.”
Segura joked that the plaques seemed centered entirely on Trump himself.
“And under Reagan, it’s like, ‘Reagan liked Trump and Trump liked him too,’” he said.
Rogan followed with disbelief. “Trump was a fan of Reagan. What? Reagan was a fan of Trump. What?”
Joe Rogan says Trump needs someone to rein him in
The tone shifted from humor to concern as Rogan suggested Trump lacked anyone willing to challenge him.
“But you can’t just let someone just f*cking fully swim in it like that,” Rogan said. “So he needs like a right-hand man to go, ‘Sir, I understand the motive…’”
Segura agreed. “Well, he’s also losing it too. You can tell.”
Rogan softened slightly, attributing some of the behavior to age.
“Well, I think everybody does when you get to a certain age.”
Segura nodded. “Yeah. Yeah, of course. I mean, the guy’s about to be 80, so…”
