LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Johnny Depp’s former lawyer Camille Vasquez has once again refuted claims that she was dating the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor during his infamous 2022 defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Vasquez, one of Depp's primary lawyers, became the focus of social media attention throughout the six-week defamation trial, which concluded with the jury largely supporting Depp, 61, against his former wife.

Fans of the livestreamed court case conjectured that Vasquez was dating her movie star client, which was one of the most popular narratives online. However, the lawyer refuted the rumors at the time as well.

Camille Vasquez asserts she 'would never' date client Johnny Depp

The 61-year-old actor was defended by the 40-year-old attorney during his defamation trial brought on by his ex-wife back in 2022. Following that, there were rumors that the two were romantically involved at the time.

Social media was buzzing over the possibility that Depp and Vasquez's relationship is more complex than depositions and subpoenas because of their chemistry in the courtroom.

Vasquez learned about these speculations from her parents; although they "knew definitively" that they were entirely untrue despite online rumors.

In a new interview with Extra, Vasquez has once again denied the accusations that she dated the Hollywood actor. Shutting down romance rumors, Vasquez said, "I would never."

"Let me just go on the record here: never dated Johnny Depp. Never would date Johnny Depp. I think he’s a lovely person… He’s not my type," the lawyer added.

The lawyer—who also represented Jennifer Lopez and Leonardo DiCaprio—went on to explain that she learned from her parents that a lot of people on the internet were speculating that she was seeing Depp, but that they "knew definitively" that she wasn't.

Vasquez claimed that even though they worked together, she had never seen any of Depp's work. "Admittedly, never seen him, really, in any film," she said. "Maybe Chocolat?" Vasquez mentioned the 2001 romantic comedy starring Juliette Binoche and Judi Dench.

In response to the question of whether she had watched any of Depp's 'Pirates of the Caribbean' films, Vasquez said, "Never to this day. I have not seen him in Pirates," reported Just Jared.

Camille Vasquez had 'out-of-body' experience when she first met Johnny Depp

In the Extra interview, Camille Vasquez also acknowledged that she was in awe of the 'Jeanne du Barry' actor when they first met.

"After maybe 30, 40 minutes of speaking with him, I remember having an out-of-body experience and looking at him and thinking, ‘He views the world so differently than I do,’" Vasquez said. "He definitely uses a different part of his brain. He’s such an artist," she added.

The jury ordered Heard to pay Depp $15 million after the trial, which the court later limited to $10.35 million. Heard also received $2 million in damages in a different verdict, per LADbible.

Depp said back in September that the trial with Heard had turned his life into a "soap opera."

While promoting his second directorial movie, 'Modi, Three Days on the Wing of Madness', he compared his life to that of artist Amedeo Modigliani, saying, "Each [character] has their story because I’m sure we can say that I’ve been through number of things here and there."

Camille Vasquez previously called romance rumors with Johnny Depp 'sexist'

In mid-May 2022, a person with knowledge of the infamous Depp-Heard trial told PEOPLE that the story of Camille Vasquez dating her actor client was "entirely, 100 percent, unequivocally untrue."

Vasquez replied to the unfounded rumors at the time, saying, "I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job."

"It's disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny... that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That's disappointing to hear," she added.

Vasquez clarified that "my work is my love" and "when I love, I love really deeply."

Vasquez, who is in a relationship, claimed to be "very happy in my relationship" and stressed that it was "unethical for us to date our clients."

"It's also an unethical charge being made. It's sexist. It's unfortunate and it's disappointing, but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can't say I was all that surprised," she added.
