LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amber Heard, Johnny Depp's ex-wife has once again found herself at the receiving end of trolling on the internet after reports have emerged that 'The Danish Girl' actress was allocated just 11 lines and a scant 20 minutes of screen time in 'Aquaman 2'.

Despite the reduction, critics online argue that it’s "still too much."

The actress, aged 37, has been the subject of repeated criticism following the widely publicized legal battle with her former husband, Depp.

Is Amber Heard sidelined in Aquaman 2?

According to TMZ, Amber Heard's role in the new 'Aquaman' movie has been significantly reduced, corroborating what former president of DC Films at Warner Bros, Walter Hamada, confirmed under oath last year.

It is reported that Heard's character has been relegated to a minor role in the film.

The sequel to the 2018 superhero blockbuster, 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom', featuring Jason Momoa, has just hit theaters on December 22.

While the film has reportedly been met with a wave of unfavorable box office returns and reviews, the most intriguing aspect is perhaps the limited screen time of Depp's ex-wife.

As per Business Insider, Amber Heard's screen presence in the film is quite limited, amounting to roughly 20 minutes.

Despite her appearance, her dialogues are minimal, with a reported total of just 11 lines.

Business Insider further reports that Heard is featured in a few action sequences at the start and end of the film, but is largely absent from the main narrative.

Interestingly, even though her character's child with Momoa's character is a key plot point, Heard's role remains peripheral. Some of her delivered lines have also been deemed rather amusing by critics.

As per the report, the film predominantly features Momoa and Patrick Wilson, who join forces for the majority of the movie.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen and Nicole Kidman also contributed significantly to the film's ensemble.
