Jon Bon Jovi quips about Taylor Swift's past relationships
According to Entertainment Tonight, Bon Jovi light-heartedly remarked on the evolution of his music over his four-decade career, making a playful jab at Swift to illustrate his point.
During a Television Critics Association panel for his new Hulu docuseries, 'Thank You, Goodnight', the 'It's My Life' singer reflected on how his music has diversified over the years as he accumulated life experiences, including heartbreak that eluded him in his younger years.
Recounting his early days in the industry, he humorously remarked, "That’s been the magic of 40 years of career. At 20, when I got a record deal, I didn’t have a lot else to write about except high school."
In a jest aimed at Swift to prove his point about his songwriting legacy and her penchant for drawing inspiration from past relationships, Bon Jovi quipped, "And I didn’t break up with people like Taylor did."
However, the joke didn't go down well with many people, especially ardent fans of the 'Lover' singer.
Entertainment Tonight reported, that during the panel, Bon Jovi and docuseries director Gotham Chopra shared their genuine intent to provide fans with an authentic portrayal of the iconic band Bon Jovi as they commemorate their 40th anniversary.
