Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good's bond strengthened over Marvel star's assault trial, source claims

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors are reportedly growing closer than ever as a result of his assault trial, according to close sources. 

The Marvel actor and his present girlfriend wiped away tears as his defense attorney concluded final statements in his misdemeanor assault trial on Thursday, December 14.

According to sources close to the pair, Good has faced tremendous challenges throughout the trial as well and she is a crucial factor in Majors' ability to move on from difficult circumstances.

Jonathan Majors' defense says he is 'innocent'

The 'Conqueror' actor Majors was accused due to conflicts with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in New York City back in March.

He is also accused of assault in the third degree with intent to cause bodily harm, assault in the third degree recklessly causing bodily harm, and aggravated harassment in the second degree.

The Marvel star, who has always insisted on his innocence, may spend up to a year in prison if found guilty of the accusations. Reportedly, the jury will now deliberate over a verdict after the defense counsel for Jonathan presented their final statements.

Attorney Priya Chaudhry told the jury on December 14, "Jonathan Majors is innocent," while he wiped his tears with the back of his coat sleeve.

Majors' present girlfriend, Good, who has been at his trial every day, wiped her eyes with a tissue as she sat in her reserved seat in the front row. His mother, who had been sitting next to her every day, put her arm around her shoulder, as per PEOPLE.

According to TMZ sources, Good is particularly disgruntled with the text messages that prosecutors often bring out in court between Majors and Jabbari.

He apparently wrote Jabbari in one message, "It's just fake," and went on to tell her that she has a reputation for lying, exaggerating, and pursuing attention.

According to the sources, all of the difficulties posed by the trial are strengthening the relationship between them and fortifying the power of their love.

Others note that Majors and Good's strong religious beliefs greatly assist them in getting through this difficult time.

Meagan Good emerged as a strong supporter of Jonathan Majors

In May, news of Majors and Good's romance began to surface. Their budding relationship apparently began with a movie date at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles.

The actress, who was previously married to DeVon Franklin, went through the difficult process of filing for divorce in December 2021, ending the marriage in June 2022.

Majors, however, quickly found himself embroiled in legal issues as rumors circulated that the actor was facing assault charges.

Meanwhile, Good emerged as a strong defender of Majors during the growing legal tempest and they did not shy away from the spotlight.

They were traveling from New York City to Los Angeles together when pictures of them holding hands as they got off the plane began to circulate.

The couple decided to make their relationship public by attending the Congressional Black Caucus' eighth annual Black and White Gala in September.

However, a source later claimed that the couple was still in the courting stage of their relationship.

During a four-day trial, Jabbari testified that Majors had often exhibited easy "rage and aggression" during their relationship and that in March, they had engaged in violent altercations that resulted in his arrest.

Whatever the outcome, sources claim it is difficult to consider how Jonathan would have weathered everything without Good's steadfast understanding and support.
