Joy Behar hopes her criticism of Trump can truly influence people's thinking: 'Even if it's a little bit'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joy Behar believes that she has the power to influence people’s views about Donald Trump and his administration as she spoke with the producer of ‘The View’, Brian Teta, during the ‘Behind the Table’ discussion along with her co-hosts.
The TV host was asked what she likes about the chat show that has been running since 1997 and why she’s still with it for over two decades now, as reported by Fox News.
Behar replied, “It's because of the freedom to speak my mind, that has always been the attraction. I like the people I work with, number one, I like everybody.”
Joy Behar’s certain she can ‘influence people’s thinking’
The 82-year-old further explained that she “also feel[s] an obligation to speak about the administration that we’re in the midst of, and I feel like we’re in a privileged position to say certain things.”
“We can actually influence people’s thinking sometimes, even if it’s a little bit, that we’re in a lot of trouble in this country right now, and that I like the idea that we can say stuff that people will listen to,” she added.
During the segment, the comedian was also asked about the political leaders who have come on ‘The View’ and what it is that brings them.
Joy Behar believes political figures should keep coming on ‘The View’
“We can show them the way they are in real life, the way they really are. I've met Hillary Clinton many times. She's different when she's running for office, and she's all scared to make a mistake,” Behar replied.
She also stated that when Hillary’s “herself, she's very funny. She should have come on ‘The View’ more, I think at that time. In fact, somebody screwed her up, somebody in her campaign said, ‘don’t go on,' and it was a big mistake.”
Meanwhile, people have a lot to say about Behar's statement regarding influencing the views of people.
