NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Joy Behar nearly fell out of her chair when she found herself actually praising Republican firebrands Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and Nancy Mace.

The unlikely applause came on 'The View' as the hosts discussed President Donald Trump’s alleged birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein, a resurfaced letter that appears to carry Trump’s John Hancock at the bottom.

After a highlight reel of conservative talking heads dismissing the note as either “fake” or meaningless, Behar offered her take.

“These senators and congressmen who support him and everything that he says, no matter what he does, they’re behind him. It’s unbelievable,” she said. “Whatever happened to, ‘If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck?’”

Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to temper things, pointing out that the note alone probably wouldn’t “implicate him in any of Epstein’s crimes.” But Behar wasn’t letting it slide, insisting that it should matter in the court of public opinion at the very least. Then she surprised the audience by showering praise on some MAGA congresswomen.

“Wasn’t it sort of heartening to see Marjorie Taylor Greene and Nancy Mace and Lauren Boebert sticking up for these Epstein victims?” Behar asked. “I was happy to see that. It was like, I’m usually not on their side, but they were—they’re women and they care, good for them.”

Sara Haines joined in with more unexpected applause for the trio. “I think those three people, it’s not a coincidence that they’re three firebrands because sometimes to break and be brave when no one else will, you need someone that’s either completely crazy—or super brave—or maybe it’s somewhere in between," she said.

Alyssa Farah Griffin added her perspective: “In the case of Nancy Mace, she’s been open she’s a s*xual assault survivor herself, and I think with that history, you cannot turn away once you hear those stories. I think she feels a duty to say something.”

Mace’s recent appearance outside a meeting with Epstein’s victims seemed to prove the point. Photographers captured her looking visibly shaken, and she later explained why on X.

“As a recent survivor (not 2 years in), I had a very difficult time listening to their stories. Full blown panic attack. Sweating. Hyperventilating. Shaking. I can’t breathe,” she wrote. She added, “I feel the immense pain of how hard all victims are fighting for themselves because we know absolutely no one will fight for us. GOD BLESS ALL SURVIVORS.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and Nancy Mace back the Epstein files act

Boebert, Greene, and Mace aren’t just showing up for photo ops. They’ve also thrown their weight behind Rep Thomas Massie’s bipartisan-supported Epstein Files Transparency Act.

If passed, the law would require the Department of Justice to release all of Epstein’s files. The bill needs just two more Republican votes to cross the finish line, assuming all 212 Democrats sign on.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, who once worked in Trump’s White House before joining 'The View,' cut to the chase. “If you’re Trump and you did nothing wrong in your association with Jeffrey Epstein, shouldn’t you also want maximum transparency? You should say, ‘Release it all,’" she insisted.

Whoopi Goldberg added, “We’re not going to connect on a lot of political things together—but on this, we can connect.”

Trump denies writing lewd note to Jeffrey Epstein

Meanwhile, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee recently shared an image of what they claim is Trump’s lewd birthday message to Epstein for his 50th. The letter came from a document dump released after the committee subpoenaed Epstein’s estate.

The White House quickly pushed back, arguing that the signature doesn’t match Trump’s current penmanship.

Trump, for his part, is sticking to his guns. Speaking to reporters outside a DC restaurant, he dismissed the whole thing.

“It’s not my signature, it’s not the way I speak,” he said. “Anybody that’s covered me for a long time knows that’s not my language. It’s nonsense. And frankly, you’re wasting your time.”

He was asked if he’d be open to meeting Epstein’s accusers. “I don’t know about — nobody suggested that," he responded. "Certainly, I don’t like that whole situation, with respect to anybody being abused or hurt, but I haven’t, I haven’t even thought about that."
