NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Wednesday, July 10, Joy Behar claimed that the criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris from men such as Donald Trump stems from issues related to male insecurities, on the episode of 'The View', reported Mediaite.

The remark was made at the Hot Topics table, where Behar was accompanied by her co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. During the segment, they compared recent campaign footage of presumptive GOP and Democratic nominees, Trump and Joe Biden, amid growing calls for the latter to drop out of the race.

Trump was seen in a clip referring to the Vice President as "laughing Kamala" in a rally, but making sure the crowd knew he was spelling it as “laffin'” Kamala.

The former president also called the Washington Monument a “beautiful scene" during the same speech, but suggested that rampant crime festering in the city would result in visitors getting "shot, mugged, r***d.”

Joy Behar comments on Donald Trump's remarks

Behar called out Trump as completely sexist for mocking Harris' laugh and suggested that men take issue with "funny" women.

“What really ticks me off about him though is this laughing Kamala remark. It’s such a sexist remark because a guy I was with over the weekend, a friend of mine, said, ‘Kamala’s laugh annoys me.’ Remember they said that about Hillary (Clinton)’s laugh, that she was cackling," stated the co-host.

"And men, you know, they don’t like a funny woman. They’re afraid if you laugh or you make a joke that maybe you’ll do that when they’re in bed with you. It’s like this fear, this fear of women laughing and comedy.”

“That’s very good psychotherapy,” remarked co-host Hostin, as Behar continued, "And what was that reference to the Washington Monument? It looks very much like a penis to me."

“You’re on fire today,” quipped co-host Griffin.

Behar later shared that Harris was targetted by Trump because the latter fears she may jump to the top of the ticket, amid growing concern across the aisle for incumbent Biden.

“You smell fear when he comes up with a name for somebody,” she noted.

Internet reacts to Joy Behar's comments

Internet users trolled Behar over her remarks on the Mediaite website, as the following comments demonstrate.

"Men fear being in bed with Joy Behar, that much is true," wrote a person.

"My god, what an unbearable dumpster fire," expressed another.

"Because someone is always cackling doesn't make them funny," observed a third.

"Yet, Joy thinks she's not sexist," sarcastically remarked a fourth.

"Worse, she thinks she's funny," jibed a fifth.
