In an interview with Today, she said, "For us, we just had sort of simple rules where we had a charging station, where everybody's phone goes when you get home," adding, "There's no phones at the table, certainly."
She added, "I parent them the same way out of the house that I parented them in the house," emphasizing concerns like, "Are you getting enough sleep?" and "You sound like you're sick."
She also mentioned reminders like, "Are you drinking tea?" and "Text me when you get home so I can see that you're home safe and sound."
Julia Roberts' twins left home for college last year
The departure of the twins, Phinneas and Hazel, for college last year marked another significant milestone for the family. Julia acknowledged that as her eldest children embarked on this new phase, she felt a mix of excitement and nervousness.
"I mean, it makes me a little lightheaded. You say that, I mean, I'm completely excited for them," she told Extra. "It's really thrilling and I wasn’t lucky enough to have a college experience. And so to see how it's happening for them is really fascinating. And yeah, I'm just, I'm excited for them."
Julia and Danny often playfully debate who their children resemble more. "I always think that they all look like me, and then Danny comes home from work, and I go, 'Oh, you, that's who they look like,'" she shared in a chat with Hello Magazine.
