Julian McMahon’s cause of death revealed days after ‘Charmed’ actor died at 56

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Julian McMahon’s cause of death has been officially confirmed.
The 'Nip/Tuck' and 'Charmed' star died from lung metastasis due to head and neck metastatic cancer, according to a Cremation Approval Summary Report from the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office in Florida, People reported.

The actor’s death, as per the report, was ruled as natural, and his remains have been cremated.
McMahon had been privately battling cancer, according to a statement from his wife following his death at the age of 56.
Kelly McMahon confirmed that the 56-year-old actor died after quietly battling cancer on July 2 in a statement to Deadline on July 4.

“With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,” Kelly said.
“Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans,” she continued.
“His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.”

Former 'Charmed' co-stars Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan and various others expressed their grief online, remembering their time with McMahon on the hit supernatural series.

Milano wrote on Instagram that she was “heartbroken” and said, “He was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend.” Milano played witch Phoebe Halliwell on 'Charmed' with McMahon playing her love interest.
Combs added on her Instagram that she would miss McMahon’s “unyielding zest for life,” while McGowan remembered him in her Instagram Stories as a “force of brilliance, wild talent and humor.”

Kate Walsh, who worked with McMahon on 'Nip/Tuck', shared a heartfelt message telling People, “Dear Jules, I know you like to flout the boundaries, but this time you've gone too far."
Actress Kelly Rutherford posted a video of herself watching the pilot episode of 'Nip/Tuck' in tribute, saying about McMahon, “He just seemed bigger and stronger than the rest of us.”
McMahon is survived by his wife, Kelly, and his 25-year-old daughter, Madison, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Brooke Burns. Upon his death, Burns, who starred on Baywatch, reacted to the news by sharing a happy snap of 25-year-old Madison with her father.

McMahon's most recent appearance was in 'The Surfer' with Nicolas Cage, who remembered him as a "kind and intelligent man" in his tribute.
"I spent six weeks working with Julian, and he was the most talented of actors," he said.
